I love flowers. I have orchids all over the house and I buy fresh cut ones (particularly stargazer lillys) every month or so.

Flowers don't let me forget my woes and help my dance moves. This had to be a trick question though because flowers are the worst and wine is the best, so it's like apples and oranges to me.

Flowers die. Wine gives me life.

But you appreciate both while alive or in the glass. And when they are gone you are left with an empty container.

I do not appreciate flowers when they are dying in my house. I look at them and think "I could have bought a few bottles of wine with that money." Then I have to clean up pollen after them. Then getting rid of them vs. "getting rid" of wine is no competition, flower clean up is a chore that brings no joy.

Eta: stop trying to peer pressure us into liking flowers boat!

That said, I always forget to refresh the water and they die quickly, getting all scummy-stemmed in the process.  I don't love that part.

This. DH used to buy them for me often. I told him to stop because he would never throw them out once they died and they were not worth the effort for me to do the clean up.
