P threw up at the IL's while we were at my NT scan yesterday. He doesn't seem sick and has been fine since. I've noticed he keeps pushing his finger way back in his mouth so I think he might have gagged. He's had his first year molars since June. Is it possible that he's getting his second year molars???? He is a fountain of drool. He has all of his other teeth.
Hugs all!! I feel like crud. V is still over 103 (alternating meds) so we are at the walk in pedi hours and there are 5 ahead of us because only one doctor is here today.
Team kick dog and leash laws. Not okay. I'm so tired. I stayed up past 1 reading spam and an interesting thread from January. That had eleven pages itself.
Morning, darlings!
I am going to leave a passive-aggressive note on my creamer this morning when I get to work. Some asshat has been using it.
I washed out an expired container and put my new creamer in that and it stopped magically disappearing. It was a risky maneuver because someone who steals creamer might be the sort of person who doesn't pay attention to expiration dates. I couldn't do that now because someone dubbed themselves the fridge czar and throws out anything that is past the date unless you specifically write on it that you know it's expired and would like to keep it anyways. there was an incident with a jar of mayo that almost turned into a physical fight. If a guy wants to used expired mayo on his corn dogs then he has that right!
UO: or more like a very unpopular confession... I consume lots of expired foods unless they smell or taste bad, you'd be surprised if you knew the amount of food that is thrown away daily in perfect conditions because by law exp. dates have a safety window...

Dear H, if I exhaust all forms of communication(call, text, email) for an hour with you with no response, yes, I will become worried. We have been married long enough for you to know this.
@lancomechica oh no... >:D< I hope you get in soon enough
@skleigh yep, I'd have done the same... I had never happened that a dog would keep barking at us, but the few times a dog has barked even once to us the owner immediately apologizes... but dogs here are treated as people, you are obliged by law to walk them at least once a day and they have checkups every year, etc... so they're usually happy dogs as the legal system protects them a lot, I've never seen an angry dog here, the few times they bark they're also excited and happy lol

My question of the day is, is @econmama going to POAS today? :-)
There
are three reasons for breast-feeding: the milk is always at the right
temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get
it. ~Irena Chalmers
@Audrey1787 that reminded me of a guy in college who was a germo-phobe and would wear plastic bags in his hands all day
I hate when I take my time writing a post then I post and when I go back in the thread I see several new posts before mine that I wouldn't have seen if someone wasn't tagging someone else and responding... does that make sense? how do you deal with that? I need the secrets to efficient bumping!

How is it only Wednesday? Doesn't it feel like it should be Thursday?
I seriously told myself it was Friday when my alarm went off this morning...thinking at least I don't have to get up early tomorrow...ugh.
Sorry to brag but today is my last day at the office this year!!! I have 11 days off starting tomorrow and then on New Year's week I work from home (yes, wearing my Pjs all day!)... off to Italy on Friday though so I will have to be Cinderella tomorrow, don't envy me too much

Home with a throwing up lo, it started at about 2am, I can only hope that the baby doesn't get this. Poor thing can't even keep water down. So unexpected day off for me and today was our office Christmas lunch party. Oh well. Maybe I'll try to finish yesterday's crazy spam thread. Hoping everyone's day is good! :-h
@hollandmama I only have to get up to get Nikita ready and to school. Then I SAH. Only thing that counters the early waking is I usually get to go back to sleep when I get home. It's hard not to envy going to Italy!
Ugh, @valstulas I feel ya. Our babysitter called in sick this AM. DH has DD right now (I'm on a deadline, but waiting for someone to send me something...hurry up!!), I'll take her from naptime onwards. Gah. This is NOT the day for this.
I'm still sad today. I dressed G up in her cutest Christmas outfit, Christmas coat and beret and I felt marginally better.
pics please! Feli's wearing red-and-white striped overalls and a long-sleeved t-shirt with stars printed on it. Pattern mixing FTW, but I forgot to take a picture before I dropped her off at DC this morning. *sad face*
Oh, and she's become quite knowledgeable about what her parents have on offer regarding foodstuffs.
This morning, she pulled me - to the cabinet to get out a plate (which I was allowed to do) - to the fridge for bread and peanut butter (she had to take those out) - then urgent pointing to the freezer for (once I lifted her up so she could show me) frozen blueberries - to the counter where she grabbed a banana (note: push stuff more to the middle) She left me with these things and walked to the high chair.
I guess someone knew EXACTLY what she wanted for breakfast this morning, refusal to speak more words than strictly necessary notwithstanding.
@valstulas - I hope you will be able to find someone soon! Sending healthy toddler vibes to all the sniffly LOs out there!
A not so bad night last night, but I am officially at a loss about naps.
C is at the point that it has been about 3 weeks since he has taken a nap other than in the car. (once or twice I have managed a transfer from the car, but thats it.)
My only options are no nap, or CIO.
At this point I would be willing to let him CIO, if it didn't take too long. I have tried it a couple times but I ended up going to get him before he fell asleep because it was taking longer than I am willing to let him cry.
The poor kid is exhausted, and needs a nap. The other day he kept nodding off in his high chair during lunch, and still threw a screaming fit when I tried to put him down and again ended up with no nap.
I have tried earlier naps, later naps, two naps, nothing has worked.
The only thing that works is rocking him to sleep and then doing a very careful transfer w/o waking him up, and starting over if he does wake up. This generally takes about an hour, and is usually impossible because of the baby.
I can't take a long drive every day, but I find myself planning things further away just so he will get a little sleep, but the baby hates the carseat, so he will often end up screaming half the way.
I really just don't know what to do anymore, and it is slowly killing us all.
ETA: I have also been wearing him more, whenever the baby lets me, and while he likes it and can calm him, I haven't gotten him to fall asleep in a carrier yet.
@mrshudson618 I'm sorry he's giving you a hard time with naps... G was like that until he went to daycare, I had to make him fall asleep on the stroller but he'd never do it inside the house so I had to go out every single time... >:D<

>:D< @mrshudson618 and @COmama1314 I wanted to post on yesterday's spam that I like @Rmnam1 t-shirt idea for 1k in one day but it kinda sounds like we are on Biggest Loser or something and were struggling to finish a 1k. I didn't post this on yesterday's spam because @valstulas wanted the last word ...baby wipes?
My neighbor is screaming (I say screaming because it is more then yelling) at her kids at 7am. I think one tried to sneak and find Christmas presents. He was in garage not feeding the dog...yeah she was that loud.
@KMRR86 DH's absolutely the opposite, he want me to go somewhere he doesn't like (he hates every single shop if it's not video-game or toy related) and then he spends the whole day 1) playing videogames or 2) playing with LO if I left him home... I cannot even imagine shopping with him around! Good luck!

Also, @EAGUIRRE2 is awesome with childcare (the post on being without childcare today made me think of this) She watched three one year olds, if it was me I would have gone crazy. 8-} @-)
FFS ladies, i just finished yesterday's spam and this one is 5 pages already... I call bullshit, people aren't reading every post, if you were you'd slow it down so you could keep up.
I'm irritated. Yesterday I took to daycare, worked 8 hours, picked him up, took him straight to swim class (which I did with him), came home to immediately start dinner, ended up doing dishes afterward because K wanted to play with Daddy, not Mommy. Did bath by myself, then put K down. Normally we split these duties at least a little bit. Oh and did I mention I'm 7 months pregnant?
Needless to say I was exhausted afterward, and DH knew this. He did the first wake up with K, but couldn't get him down so I had to go in. I asked him to do the next one, but he bitched about it so I got up and did it. Now I'm exhausted. I know I'm lucky that DH helps as much as he does, but he knew how tired I was and still had a shitty attitude in the middle of the night. I just needed to complain a bit. Sigh.
I was a little scared to venture into today's spam with everything that went down yesterday. I'm still so shocked and sad over the situation (and I'm still missing a lot of details). Can the rest of you please be law-abiding, non-catfishing people? K, thanks!
I'm taking off today for a work trip. I already miss my baby though. Of all days, he picked today to sleep in until after the nanny arrived so we didn't get our usual time together this morning. And I won't get home until after he is in bed on Friday.
I feel good with myself because I ate cherry tomatoes instead of chocolate as my mid - afternoon snack... so much that now I'm going to treat myself with some chocolate as my late - afternoon snack!

I just bought Tess the cutest tight. I'm so excited.
She's been really off her game lately. Didn't nap yesterday, didn't fall asleep for the night until after 11pm. Wonder week I guess. Hope she's feeling more herself for the holidays!
Just ate a delicious burger from Shake Shack but now I feel very yucky. I know what my new years resolution is! And thankfully I just found out I got into the lottery to run a 10 mile road race in April so that will be good motivation!! Tone up before getting knocked up, hopefully
