DD is nearly 14 weeks and has never successfully taken a bottle of BM. She does great with bf'ing. We started introducing bottles (playtex drop-ins) around 7 weeks and she will just chew on them. I thought when I was back to work she'd just figure it out. It's been two weeks now and she hasn't. We've tried a few different nipples and 7 other bottles. I've started coming home to feed her. Not sure what to try next- faster flow nipples?, the sand bottle/nipple every day?, maybe a sippy cup? Tips?
My LO was the same way. My DH found that the key was trying to feed him when he wasn't super hungry. He also fed him in his bouncy seat and for some reason that worked. Good luck!!
Have you tasted or smelled the milk? I've had friends have a lipase issue with their milk, and they have to scald it after pumping and before storing it. It could be a milk issue rather than bottle.
Re: Won't take a bottle
Eta autocorrect is stupid sometimes.
