what happens the cycle after IVF?

Hello!

I'm wondering what the experiences were for those who had a natural cycle after IVF. Should I expect AF to be later then normal? I'm starting to feel like ovulation is being delayed since I have zero signs of it coming anytime soon. I don't want to miss out on having my FET in January just because AF is a meany!! Starting to wish my clinic did BCPs...

I ovulated a week or so later than normal for about 2 cycles after an IVF cycle.

AF always came right after I stopped the Endometrin and Estrodil (sorry for the atrocious spelling). It's always a little heavier and crampier than normal for me. 

Hope your body cooperates for your FET!!!

I was a few days late my Dr said it was perfectly normal. I don't know when I ovulated I wasn't temping because I had a sinus infection.

I had an inexplicably long luteal phase (17 days), and I've seen others here have the same thing happen. It made me totally crazy, as I was waiting for pregnancy tests to turn positive and they never did.

I had a lot of spotting and had delayed ovulation (though, I also had a c/p so it was hard to know which bleeding was from the miscarriage and which was AF). Normally ovulate around CD 12-15 and that cycle it was CD 18. Hang in there, I hope you get back to normal soon.

My post-IVF cycles have also been elongated. In fact, my cycles in the 6 months since starting IVF have averaged more than 30 days each, and my normal cycles are 27-28 days. So, I think it's normal for it to be weird. 

Also, after IVF 2, I had a really short and heavy period, and this time, I had some bleeding and spotting for TEN DAYS. It sucked. My clinic says it is normal to have a completely abnormal cycle/period after.

I'm pretty sure this cycle is going to be a long one since I still have no sign of Ov coming. Although I'm wondering if I have a cyst(s) because since Monday I have been horribly uncomfortable. My ovaries feel like they did when I was stimming. Maybe even slightly worse. im going to sign my FET consent forms in about an hour and a half so I'm going to mention it to the ivf nurse.

@K1111K I get that too. Every month. Some months it's more painful then others. I told my nurse about the pains I've had this week and although I did not have a scan she says it's most likely cysts since it is very common to have the next as a result of stimming for IVF the previous cycle. So chances are if my clinic wasn't closing for the holidays, I probably would have had my FET delayed until January anyway because of the cysts :P So I guess when I finally do ovulate this cycle, I'm going to have to expect some wickedly painful ovaries!
