Our former neighbor and really good friend has a tree in her yard that we suspect has something causing it to die and very quickly. One of the limbs has lost almost all of its bark directly onto the street. She no longer lives there and is trying to sell. I had mentioned it to her last week and Im pretty sure no one has been out to look at it or anything. So my question is how would you bring it up? They are coming over tomorrow. Let me also say that while it would be highly unlikely for it to cause our house damage It would likely fall onto the house below and take out all of the power lines.

I wouldn't say anything. You mentioned it once already,now I'd drop it. Her tree, her problem. If it could hurt your house that would be different but you said it would not.

If it would possibly take out the power lines I would say something. Just tell her as if it's the first time you mention it.

If you think it could damage power lines, you could call the power company. If they take a look at it and it's an issue, they will contact her for you.
