Late Term and Child Loss

Updated:Rh negative and considering ttcal sunshine child mentioned

I've known I am Rh negative since I was pregnant with dd. I had all four of my rhogam shots with her. With ds, I had my first and second tri shots and we lost him in the first week of my third trimester. Because he suffered a placental abruption, it is likely that his positive blood sensitized my blood. I was given three rhogam shots after my csection with him. I took a blood test yesterday to determine if my blood has been sensitized. I am terrified that this will complicate the decision to try for a rainbow. Anyone else deal with this?

Update: My test came back negative, so there is no added danger. Thank you for the hugs and support. I love that I have somewhere to come and talk to people who get it. I'm so glad we won't have to worry about complications on top of ttcal.

No advice, but wanted to give you hugs!
  • I have not had to deal with any of that, but you might try the high-risk board to find other women who can relate. I hope you can find some answers.
