pregnancy brain for the win

That awkward moment when I group texted the coach and all the parents of my daughter's bball team that I was getting into the shower. Yeah it wasn't supposed to go to all of them. They do NOT need that visual of me.
Hubs immediately calls me and asks if I know what I did since he gets the texts too. Yes I do know what I did, after the fact. I was ready to die of embarrassment. Especially since I had to see them all an hr later.
What is your latest blunder? Someone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

With my last pregnancy, I gave DD a child's dose of infant ibuprofen. Funny thing is doing a goggle search about the effects sent me to an old bump thread saying to call poison control. That number is programmed into my phone now. This pregnancy my memory has been good so far, but it's still early.

I'm surprised I haven't cut myself, broken dishes, or burned the house down yet.  Most of my pregnancy-brain-related mishaps have been in the kitchen doing routine things: dropping things, leaving burners on, not turning burners on, slipping knives, not turning timers on etc.  I have suffered several minor burns, though.

I've also missed turns while driving.  Those were wake-up calls to pay extra attention.  No close-calls, thankfully.

Yesterday, I nearly emailed H in place of texting my parents.  I realized the mistake before I hit send.

lol That is really funny..  but not really funny at the same time.  :)

At thanksgiving dinner, we were passing the turkey platter around for the second time.  I took another piece of turkey and instead of taking my fork.. I left my fork on the platter and started eating turkey off the serving fork. lol Nice and embarressing.  Thankfully, it was only my husband and his parents and our kids.. not a big huge family gathering!  But still embarressing. His mom said umm Nikki.. you may have to open your mouth extra wide to fit that fork in there.  I didn't even realize I had done it!

I've mixed up lots of paperwork at work. I always catch myself, but still. It is an hourly occurrence.

Last night I picked up my photo Christmas cards/announcements, only to find that I had written that baby is Due in June, 2014.

Darn pregnancy brain is getting expensive!

Ugh!! Mine is just forgetting stuff... I have to write everything down now or text/email myself AND DH so we don't forget (he's forgetful anyway). And also talking to clients, mostly on the phone, in person I usually have a list of items to go over, but lately, in the car while driving, sometimes I'll play phone tag and catch up w/ clients and I find myself going over something and then Uhhhhh, duhhhhh, lost my train of thought and can't remember what I was going to say next! Drives me nuts, I'm known by my friends/family as the one who remembers everything!

I've been a bit clumsy too, walking into things and dropping EVERYTHING!!!  And who can pick it up with this belly? When DH is around, I don't even have to ask anymore, he just picks it up! Yeah, he's tying my shoes now too... L-)   (is tying spelled right?? it looks wrong to me... now I can't spell or type right either!!)

Way clumsy here!  So far I've knocked a bowl of m&m's off a coworkers desk, and knocked a full cup of coffee in my lap.

Just yesterday I removed a pan from the oven with my dish gloves on, not my oven mitt. Wonder of wonders those things melt!

Twice in two weeks I've arrived at work at 7am and forgot the entry code one day then forgot my keys another. Had to call my boss on a Saturday as clients would arrive and I'd be sat outside. I feel like such an idiot.
