Taking their diapers off

My girls are 26 months and rarely keep their diapers on in bed. They are still in cribs and we recently have been
putting tape on the diapers in hopes they will keep them on.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't   They usually play for a little before
falling asleep and that's when they take them off or after waking up if we aren't in their right away.  The worst is when they have poop everywhere ;(
They wont keep the zip up pajamas on either.

Anyone else had this issue?  Found anything that works?

Have you tried putting the diaper on backwards or using pull-ups?

Last night we tried the zip up pjs on backwards and that worked. That may be our answer for a little while!

My daughter started doing this and we switched to pull ups that way there is no tabs to pull off. Worked well till we started potty training then it was back to taking them off in bed but we did find that she lost interest after a week or so since it was more work to take off the pullups.

Another way to apply the tape method is instead of putting it on the diaper, put it across the chest area and having the ends meet in their back where their hands can't reach. Not tight because you still want that give for breathing. You can do this on the zipper nighties. Another way is to put a onesie on and tape the snaps all the way around. Hope this helps.
