My daughter just turned 3 and has recently started developing new fears.
She had just started a custody schedule with staying with her father
every other weekend for the first in her life. i'm not sure if her
staying away is causing the fears to come out. if that is common for
this age.
But she is afraid of the doors in rooms being shut
even if i'm in there with her. She has to have nearly all lights on to
lay down and go to sleep.
I'm starting to be more concerned
about it and i don't know if i should start having her go to therapy to
help her cope with the changes or if i may be over reacting.

My advice would be to consult your pediatrition. They will know if this is a normal stage or if she should see a therapist and can refer you to a therapist should your dd need one.
Im sure it is just the changes in her life and will eventually pass. My 3 yr old dd had the same fears when we moved and she got a big girl bed and a new room
