this is a couple years old. i like our curb appeal but not the maintenance it requires!   

we are on a semi- main road

ETA- i loveeee the gladioluses. they last for most of the summer- different colors at different times. my fave are the coral colored ones

we've basically just kept it up-- i'd like to ... move. lol. the house is too small and the neighborhood is not #1 (schools, etc)

Here is our little house, but the picture was taken when I had up a bunting when we brought Baby W home.  It is just a rental, but we really enjoy living here.  Our last house was really not private.  This one is on a flag lot, so we have a ton of privacy.  All our neighbors are WONDERFUL!

It has been hard for me living in a house with no real yard, since I'm a farm girl.  That is our official patch of grass.

This is the only pic of our house I have at my disposal at the moment. We live in the city on a corner. Our house is 200 yrs old.

I hate our lack of good yard space and the fact that we aren't in a neighborhood, but I love that I am 4 miles from my office downtown!

We don't have curb appeal.
I would like to work on that. By moving.

Here is our house! We moved a little over a month ago and we are in love! There isn't much I would change at this point...it's so wonderful!

Here is our house. We built this custom home a year ago. A lot different than our last one. We had a pool and stairs. This house doesn't have that but it's good because this house is maintainable. Don't mind me in the picture, I had just bought my first jeep and was pretty excited about it!

We built this house and moved in a year ago. We love the area because we can walk to bars, restaurants and shopping. The first pic is from Halloween and the second is from our "house divided" game day when Georgia played Clemson.

Y'all have some bigass houses!! @CrazyAunt84 I'm sort of mostly in love with yours - I love old stone houses.

Ok so here is ours from the city circa 1958 (you can order them!)




Here it is today...slightly devoid of some of its original charm, but still has some good curb appeal. Obviously this is a picture from the summer!



Overall we LOVE the location; love/hate that it's small (we aren't 'big house' people, though we are finding we need a bit more space than we have), love that it's old (1919).

I love this new thread!  So many beautiful homes, history, personality, the works!

A partial pic of the front of our house. As you can see I was being followed by Kaden, so I turned to take a quick pic and didn't make it to the street.  There is a juniper explosion happening in the front yard, which if it was my house I would pull up and plant a garden instead.

As a bonus I'm including a pic of our house in Roatan, Honduras and Sonoma County, CA. (Both of which feel more like "home").

Add us to the tiny, old house group. Ours was built in 1927 (I think). The first is when we bought it, the second is after we dug out the grass in the park strip and planted drought resistant native plants last summer. They are all HUGE now. I don't think I have a picture of it this year, and if I do I have no idea where it would be . We are contemplating tearing out all the front grass and planting a veggie garden in the front because it gets more sun than the back and it's hard to keep the grass alive in the hot, dry summer. I think it's got pretty great curb appeal, one of the reasons we bought it.

Super delayed but we'll play

We live in Southern California about a block from the bay and two from the ocean. It's a pretty residential area where the houses are fairly close together.

One thing I wish we could do is keep our plants alive. Knock on wood, the larger more established trees and shrubs are doing fine. It's the additions we've made that haven't done well. Being gone for most of the month of August didn't help. We are planning on going with more natives next time

I'm not sure why the second picture is sideways but I'm posting from my phone. The picture of the front is from last fall when it was still in escrow.
