We are set on Sarah after H's grandma that passed away a few months ago. Her name was Shirley but her Hebrew name was Sarah. H wants to spell it Sara, but I want the -h at the end and I am pretty sure I am going to win.
Love the two Amelias. That's our DDs name and she also goes by "Mia"
Naming this baby is proving way more challenging than last time as I had already "chosen" Amelia back in high school.
Currently we have a short list of:
Adelaide, Briar or Molly. I really like Claire as a middle name for all 3.
I love Molly!!! That was on our list for girl names also.
We have had a boy and a girl name picked almost since we found out about being pregnant. We won't find out until December 9 if the baby cooperates. Either way there will be a name at birth.
I'm totally being a SS about naming this baby. Pretty sure her first name will be Emmy, but we (ahem I) are stuck on a MN. It will either be: Lou (which is my grandmas middle name, but it sounds kinda super country bumpkin, and I'm not sure I want that vibe) Claire (family name) or Elizabeth (which is my middle name, and DS has a namesake from DH so it'd be cool)
ETA I forget who it is, but I have a friend who just had a little guy Luca and it's super cute.
We are having a baby girl. We decided on the name Izabella Hope. We preferred the Z over the S. We like how the name sounds in Spanish. It kind of reminds me of my own name. My parents preferred how Crystal sounds in Spanish so my name is spelled Cristal. My mom's name is Esperanza- meaning Hope. I love the meaning behind both names.
Ugh I've had a girl name set for years because I'm a crazy person but H wanted an Italian name for a boy. He wants Vincent which is fine but Vinny! With the Philly accent around here! *cringe*
Does he realize how difficult it is to find an Italian boy name that isn't as common as Anthony but isn't as ridiculous as Guido?! His dad's name is Giuseppe! Sorry all the Lorenzo's and Mario's and Giuseppe's of the world, but no thank you! Not for me. Too much like a pizza place or the cast of jersey shore.
Mmm....now I'm in the mood for some Boardwalk pizza..... Haha
Did you find out you're having a boy? Or are you just having trouble agreeing on a boy name if it turns out to be a boy?
I want boardwalk pizza all the time always and already eat way too much junk ): there's a pizza grill on every corner here ):
There's already an Alex AND and Nick in my family. The problem may be my enormous family taking all the good names already. We are thinking maybe Lucca? Or Dante, which everyone is gonna think is weird but I don't care :x
I have my a/s December 9. Every single person in my life believes I'm having a boy based on no scientific evidence whatsoever. My aunt said my ultrasound pictures from 15 weeks looks like a boy, whatever that means.
It'll probably be a girl (which no one will believe until delivery day) who we've already decided will be Eden Ann. Then there'll be no problem with names until maybe next time.
It feels weird to tell anyone my names because I've been superstitious and told NOBODY except H.
My husband has a large Italian family. Some of the boys names they have used are Matteo, Dominic, Vincenzo, Rocco, Franco, Marco.
Our little girl will be Addison Elizabeth. Addison I have always liked and I love the cute nickname Addi and Elizabeth was my grandmother who was killed in a car accident when I was 21 so it is near and dear to me. We struggled to find a boy name before we knew what we were having and just as we settled, we found out it was a girl. First girl in my husband's family in 70 years- yes, you read that right- 70 years.
We are set on Sarah after H's grandma that passed away a few months ago. Her name was Shirley but her Hebrew name was Sarah. H wants to spell it Sara, but I want the -h at the end and I am pretty sure I am going to win.
My husband and I are having the same arguement. We both like the name Sarah. I am used to the spelling Sarah, but he is Italian and insist their is no H in Italian. I think he may win this one, because he is being stubborn. We are thinking about Elizabeth for a middle name, but we are not set.
We're not finding out the sex until birth but we do have names picked out. Lauren Monica Jayne and Tristan Eldon Owen. The middle names are after our parents, first names are just ones we liked although Lauren is kind of inspired by my friend Laura.

Aw....DD1 is Emmy Grace (Emilia). But I knew I wanted to call her Emmy. I think Emmy Lou is adorable. Will Emmy be a nn or her full name?
It was really hard finding a name I liked that wasn't either taken by someone in my family already or ruined by one of this kids I work with. I'm 99% that he'll be Beckett James but two others in my family are due before me and I'm hoping they don't take it.

I LOVE Emmy Grace! Grace is my little sisters middle name though so I didn't want to use it. Emmy will be her full name. It's kind of a shout out to family name Emmeline that we both really like but I can't decide how I want to say it, and we'd prolly just call her Emmy anyways so that stuck.
I had never heard the name Juno until you, @frownyface but every time you say (type) it, I just love it!
We're going with Anistyn Kate and Karsyn Lane. DH has been in love with Anistyn for years, and I've always loved Kate and loved the fact that putting the together would give her his initials. My middle name/ Mom's maiden name is Lane so I knew I wanted to incorporate that somehow. He randomly said Karsyn out loud while we were driving down the road one day and that was it! Without even realizing that Karsyn will also have my initials!

How do you pronounce them? Anistin and Karsin? @doxiemom415
We'll have names decided on (more or less) by the time baby is here, but Team Green makes it a little harder! Not to mention at this point my favorite names all seem to be close to my other kids' names. We definitely need to stop after #5
That being said, I like Adelia, Madeleine, Norah, and Nina for a girl. MN Blythe?
For a boy, we are more divided in our opinions. I'm leaning toward Luke or William so we can call him Liam (but not commit to it since it seems to be pretty popular). DH loves Marcus Robert...but I am SO not sold on Marcus! It doesn't work for me. Sigh. We'll get there!
I love so many names on this thread. Well done, mamas! @hillbillywife I love Emmeline too, but DD #3 is Eveleen, so, too close.
Haha, my username should read "3Girlsand1BoyMama"...with #5 on the way! (and then we're done.)

Yes mam.. I know, I know, the spelling is.. different. BUT, my theory with Anistyn with a Y is that the "original" spelling is Anniston and I just couldn't get on board with that much name for some reason? And H decided that since Anistyn had a "Y" that Karsyn needed a "Y" because he felt like Karson or Carson was too boy'ish? Moral of that story is that I really didn't know DH looked that far into it haha.
My guy is still a bit heartbroken the baby is a girl so no idea when talking about names will even appeal to him :-( but, if he can't get over it I'm naming the baby Olivia & he can give her a boys MN

Uh. I don't even know where to start. On the positive- olivia is a cute name.
We've decided on the first name: William, Will for short. It's my dad's middle name and FIL's first name (but he goes by Bill).
We haven't chosen a middle name yet, mostly because we haven't decided on the last name. I kept my maiden name, and I would really like to hyphenate baby's LN. H is completely against it. So much so that he would prefer baby just have my LN rather than hyphenate, but he really wants it to be his LN. He won't even discuss hyphenating, but I'm going to give it one last try...

So you pronounce them a different way, than they are spelled?
If we have a boy he will be Charles which is my husband's middle name and was his grandpa's name. I have always liked the name Charlie so that worked out well.
If we have a girl we have no idea. Naming our daughter was easy but my husband already vetoed a lot of the girl names on my list. We haven't really discussed girl names too much. We decided to wait until we find out what we are having to see if we even need to discuss a girl name. My anatomy scan is a week from today.

No? I'm not sure how else Anistyn and Karsyn are pronounced other than how the sound?
We aren't finding out the sex of the baby, so we have a boy and girl names picked. We have actually had them nailed down since about 8 weeks. (18 weeks now)

I thought you still pronounced them like Aniston and Carson. My mistake.
Not final. We have a few but are still open. Hollis or Jedediah so far.
I LOVE both of these. My IL's best friend is names Hollis and I've always loved it!
We're about 95% sure we're doing Jameson Lynn. My dad is James, but we didn't want Jim/Jimmy so Jameson is a good compromise. Lynn is my FIL's middle name and my moms middle name so there ya go!
My MIL said his name is "almost" perfect lol maybe she'll get next round!
My guy is still a bit heartbroken the baby is a girl so no idea when talking about names will even appeal to him :-( but, if he can't get over it I'm naming the baby Olivia & he can give her a boys MN
We've decided on Everett Matthew. We aren't telling any family and friends so it's fun to share here. If it had been a girl she would have been Paige Elizabeth.
No? I'm not sure how else Anistyn and Karsyn are pronounced other than how the sound?
I thought you still pronounced them like Aniston and Carson. My mistake.
Haha that's what I mean.. They ARE pronounced Aniston and Carson. It's too early and not enough coffee for these in depth conversations!
I think what she means is that Carson is typically pronounced Car-son whereas Karsyn looks like it is probably pronounced Car-sin vs -son. Aniston same deal: -ton vs -tin

----- Yeah when I see a y in a name I pronounce it like in not on so I would say Carsin and anistin.
Harper Leigh is our little girl. My mom's nickname is Lee (polish name Lidia is pronounced Lee-dia) and its DH's middle name, so we went for a feminine spelling and boom! Naming done!
Beautiful name. Also, Harper Lee is the author of To Kill A Mockingbird, my favorite novel, so I extra approve!
Scout Finch (obviously) approves.
It's like an added bonus for this name.. my DH didn't reach much growing up (such a pitty) so he's not familiar with the book. I absolutely love it and am thrilled we've agreed on this name AND it has family relevance.
