What new Thanksgiving traditions did you start doing when you married?

The eggnog post got me thinking about this. What Thanksgiving traditions have you started/adopted when you got married? Or maybe what you are going to do differently now that you have a baby?

My in-laws went crazy with embracing Russian cuisine and now we have pickled mushrooms and vegetables on the table and Olivier potato salad (a Russian staple). And my mother-in-law dug out this cranberry sauce recipe that she loooooooooooooves (half cranberry, half horseradish).

Your turn!

  • We're having homemade pizza this year!

(We aren't big thanksgiving people and aren't traveling to be with family this time.)

  • We follow tradition. And eat turkey. It would be nice if we broke routine to jazzed it up a bit. We will be going to my grandparents for dinner.
