it's Monday here officially and my first ever spam thread. we are finally home and in my own bed! Hoping DD does better tonight in her own bed too although she has a cough going on and I'm hoping she's not sicky again.
Fx for a poopless sleep the rest of the night @maryannespier Tonight was the first night with a humidifier in A's room. That is the excuse I am using for this wake up since he was standing in his crib glaring at it. I've turned it off so hopefully he sleeps now.
I am failing at soothing to sleep while writing a lecture. I am trying to condense three days in one because I got behind. And A wants me to be cosleeping. I was night weaning but he won't settle without boob. And subsequent bodily contact with mama. I slept 8:30-11. Started work on this at 11:30. Probably should give up and sleep but need to change into jammies and brush teeth and have a cozy barnacle leaning against me.
Nothing is working. Looks like I am in the rocking chair for the night. Would somebody please remind me next time I am pregnant to purchase I crazy comfy nursing chair? I love my antique rocker/glider but it isn't meant to be slept in.
@maryannespier wtf baby? Don't poo MOTN! I hope he sleeps soundly the rest of the night... and yes, Gerardo STTN for 4 nights when he was sick... now he is again waking up at least once... pffffff!
@fabk >:D< get a new comfy glider even if you're not preggers yet. .. you'll never know when LO will actually STTN and by the experience all of us are having, they are probably not starting anytime soon
I'm on my last business trip 2014 (hopefully)... alarm at 4.30 am, boarding at 6.40 am, taxi to office at 9 am and I'm still on the ride.... probably will be at the office in 30 min or so at the 11.30 am... guys I need all the freaking coffee in the world! Also because I went to bed at 12 last night yay!

Best thing I ever put in my nursery is the lazy boy! No glider a full out chair that old man leans all the way back with a pop up foot stool. Almost okay for sleeping.
@Rmnam1 that's kind of funny although not in the moment.
I'm excited that it's a short week but it's also going to make these three work days super crazy busy!! I was MIA yesterday doing lots of family/pre-Thanksgiving planning stuff and this week might be no exception. I'll try to stop in when I can!
DH is leaving for NJ for work this morning and then he will meet us in CT on Wednesday where we will celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm nervous to fly sola on Wednesday with T.

We had two poopy diapers overnight. Also not common and yesterday G took an almost 4 hour nap....we might be boarding the sick baby train with a lot of you. ( Work is going to be super lame today. I have nothing to do there until 10 o'clock but still have to be there at 7 a.m.. I stopped at Dunkins to get a large coffee and I plan on sitting around making bows while the snow storm comes in..... ~O) to all!
sooo.... Back in August we planned on having Thanksgiving at MIL and FIL's house. This was decided so long ago because their house tends to be a disaster and I knew it would take that long for them to clean it up. MIL has been very busy cleaning but Sunday FIL decided the place is too dirty and we would no longer be allowed over for Thanksgiving dinner. So now it looks like it is down to our super tiny apartment for 6 adults and 3 kids.....I wish I could just say fcck it and tell everyone to stay home. DH, G and I can have a nice day w/o any stupid drama.
Stuffy nose and whining, totally refused breakfast. Very low grade fever of 99.7 (I know not tech a fever, but warmer than he usually is). I'm glad we already have an appointment tomorrow. We are watching Mulan because no one is happy today.
This is Lyra, too. She ate a little banana, but is a snot monster and 99.6. Blah.
Yep, fever over here too but no poop since Saturday morning. He didn't sleep at all last night. He's acting pretty normal this morning but he's still doing a lot of laying on me. I guess I need to cancel his hair appointment for this afternoon
No nanny today. Just found that out about 10 minutes ago. Annoyed.
It's supposed to get up to 66 degrees here today. Whoa.
I hope all of our LO's are feeling better by Thanksgiving!
@Stacey099 sounds like my SIL. They have the biggest house of all of us and 6 kids. But she decided she doesnt want to clean or have people over. We decided to stay home vs drive to my dads. So we invited MIL here seeing as SIL said she didn't want to do anything.
Nope. SILs BF asked them to come anyway before we did. So if she decided to come here SIL would get pissy and guilt trip MIL. Even though she still says she doesn't want to do anything. It's like this for Christmas too. His mom has been having us over Christmas morning for years without telling SIL to avoid drama.
You guys, today is my last "marathon monday" ( thank you @casey78 for letting me borrow that phrase). Classes for This semester end this week so it's the last monday. At least until next semester. Yay!
We ha a crazy weekend. Wedding stuff all day Saturday, then yesterday a cousins first communion party, and having friends over to see my sister who is in town.
Last night was good though- C didn't wake up until 5:30 so he just took DHs place in bed whe he got up for work and slept another couple hours.
Took the kids to see their new cousin yesterday too. We thought the new baby woul make Toby seem huge, but mostly it made him look like he ha a huge head lol. My 20 month old nephew keeps calling his new brother "baby Susan", which is the name of his sisters baby doll. )
She is 7 I think, in first grade. She does not normally play with my girls. The street we live on is U shaped and we live in the middle and the bus stop is at the end of the street. I would be watching her from 7 a.m. until 8:15-8:50 depending on whether I take them to the bus stop or school.
I honk it would depend on how crazy things usually are at your house in the mornings.
@juliedave151 I considered doing something similar with our neighbor. My concerns were if Nikita was sick I would still have the other girl here from 6:45 until 7:40ish.
Granted it would get Nikita on the bus vs me driving her...
@juliedave151 I probably wouldn't want to do it. I mean maybe if your girls were friends or if you were friends with the parents? It just seems like a hassle.

We don't host because our place is too small. When f-i-l brings it up every yr., that's what d.h. tells him. I am thankful for the no drama. When they hosted (ha! d.h. and I cooked and their idea of getting the place ready is stacking any magazines and/or books and/or comics that were around), I could barely breathe in the place it's so dusty (I'm allergic and have asthma...cue inhaler use every yr. we went there), and they'd inevitably yell at d.h., "Is it ready yet?????" because their oven was so old and not working properly...but they'd never replace it. I don't think they understand the THANKS part of THANKSgiving.
Yay! I'm glad someone out there does. Now, when was the last time you ate them?
It's probably been about 8 months ago. It was in the spring and my sister made them. Food is so much better when someone else makes it. I wonder why that is?
@casey78 We are also having our Thanksgiving at work today. I tried so hard to suggest that we just bring in party food instead of the traditional items because everyone will be so sick of them by the end of the week. I was vetoed.
I'm so glad it is a short week at work. 1.5 days left to go!
@Stacy099, sorry you are stuck hosting last minute. I think it's really rude of them to cancel the week of Thanksgiving when it's been planned for so long. I'm curious how dirty a house must be if they can't get it together in 3 months....
@kikicohen, great news on your appointment! I have one tomorrow which includes the blood draw for my MaterniT21 screen so I'm nervous.
Man colds + whineyness + snoring all night long = :-q ~X( ~O)
@maryannespier I think they're meatballs made with rice instead of breadcrumbs.
Yep, pretty much
Haddy's nap last 30 minutes, boo. He did eat lunch so that's good... I guess? I mean a small orange and some noodles isn't that much but I'll take it in comparison to yesterday's eating.
Byjove, we had porcupines when I was a kid a lot. I haven't had it in YEARS. It was the only way I would eat rice as a kid. I eat it on the regular now but yeah you just brought back a bunch of memories.
