We have the LG steam washer. We loved it for our clothes, and it works great for CD's. It has extra water and extra rinse options, and has a selector for the "soil level" which increases the agitation time.
I use the steam option to freshen my dry clean only clothes in between dry cleaning....at least I did when I wore suits almost every day. My yoga pants and tshirts don't need it.....

I've totally been interested in these. So you don't have to put a towel in it or anything for your CDs? Just use the extra water option and you're good to go?

Yup. The only issue I have had so far is I was using Tide to the 1 line when we started. I never reduced the amount after the NB stage when the number of diapers went down. I got some buildup. A hot water strip and detergent reduction solved the problem. So that was not a washer problem. Otherwise things get nice and clean. We're 5 months in.
Also, for regular laundry, it holds a TON. And still gets it clean.
I have the Samsung steam HEFL. I'll have to look up the specific model. We haven't had issues. I love that it has extra wash, extra rinse, and extra spin options.

@Brandiewine11 we also have an LG front loader and I'm having trouble with my routine. I also use tide. What is your normal wash?
I do a warm quick wash with extra water - no detergent. Then a hot wash on "normal" with heavy soil level and extra rinse with 2-3 tbsp of tide. I use 2 for eod wash and 3 if there is a 3rd day of diapers.

I have this set also, and I have had many issues. Finally got a routine that works, but I have to add towels, etc. It's annoying. Perhaps it is our hard water? Anyway, if I were in the market for a new machine, I'd either get a non-HE one, or make sure it has the "extra water" option that PP mentioned.
