We didn't discuss transitioning with LO's doctor so I'm not quite sure what we'll do. I need to do some research on the best way to introduce, though I highly doubt she'll have an issue because food allergies don't run on either side of the family. We probably won't even attempt to try any milk until she's closer to 1 yr, so maybe start in a month or so.
LO turns 1 in less than three weeks. I have her a coconut milk smoothie this past weekend. Right now I'm giving her a couple ounces of coconut milk and she loves it! I may introduce almond milk next week. I think switching gradually will be best.
We started transitioning DD to homo milk at 11 months as our dr was happy with her progress. We have got down to 1/2oz formula and 4oz homo milk - but still will not take the milk plain. It's been frustrating! DD will be one on Friday.
We are on Alimentum and we will be doing what @pearsforpoops is doing as well. Slow and steady with our LO. She has had some milk based products and been fine however I am not chancing a reaction.
We have been doing the same as @pearsforpoops in fact I think we have 1 formula bottle left. Also @2010weddinggal Finn was a puker as well and was on the AR. Since we have started the switch he has not really spit up at all. My mil who works for wic actually says thats pretty common.
We've started. LO will be one in 3 weeks (*gasp!*). Last week we mixed 1/4 cow's milk to 3/4 BM, and this week we're doing 1/2 and 1/2. She has actually has it straight too and seemed fine, but we still have the BM so we're doing the slow intro anyway.
Spin off question: how many times a day are you all feeding LO solids? And how often milk? We still have a month and a half, but am not sure what to do and don't want to keep nursing all day for long after one.

Daycare gives him oatmeal 2x per day, and he normally has a little of what we eat for dinner, plus either a baby cookie or puffs, and sometimes a little bit of banana as a snack. He is also getting about 5 bottles of bm during the day, plus a nighttime nursing. Writing that down makes it sound like a lot...
DD just turned 11 months so I plan to start introducing one once of WCM in with her formula today. I'll do one once increase per week and then switch to full milk at her first birthday.

So I'm new to this board. I have an 11mo but am also due with my second in April so I've been on that board lately, but figured I could give some input here. My DD has been on cows milk since she was about 10mo. She just started to absolutely refuse formula. She even drinks it cold. So we just went cold turkey. She loves it! We started with whole milk but it made her constipated but she's been doing fine with 2%. Wasn't exactly what I had planned on doing when switching but it was obviously what she wanted.
Accidental win tonight! I was low on breast milk, and no formula, so I gave Little Man 3oz BM + 5oz almond milk in his bedtime bottle, and he went after it like there was no difference. Not an every night solution, but I'm feeling good .
