Hi! Introducing myself

Hi I am 39 years old and have been trying to conceive for over a year. I have no kids but My DH is 41 and has a 19 yr old. Our journey began in dec 2013 when I decided to go to a RE to get checked out. Found out my tubes were blocked but we didn't know why. In dec and February I had two polypectomys, then had a couple of things come up and we were on our way to start IVF in June and had been on bcp. However on July 2 had a tremendous pain on my right side that I thought was gas and bloating. The nurse, although knew I was in pain thought it was gas too and had me go ahead start fertility shots. I ended up going to my family dr as I thought it was my appendix but low and behold he tells me I'm pregnant and it's probably ectopic. While I had no idea what this was and thought it was impossible I found out it was actually a risk I'd face. My angel baby was taken on 7/8. Now 2 months later I just went through my first full IVF cycle and now in the 2ww so I thought it was time to introduce myself. I am patiently waiting and praying for a bfp. Thankful for this community.

    Hi there and welcome to the board! I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm also 39 and have no children but continue trying :)

    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    Welcome and I also am sorry about your loss :( but glad you found us!
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.  
    Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
    I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.  
    July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal 
    DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF. 
    Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!) 
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!

    Thank you for all the kind words. Well I received the results from the beta test on Friday and got a BFN. So disappointed, sad and angry all at the same time. All these medications in my body are making me feel crappy but I guess my body will get a rest. The progesterone shots were beginning to hurt. Dr said we could transfer in January.

    Sorry about the BFN. All your feelings are pretty normal, it sucks. Good luck in moving forward.

    Welcome @plaza214.  I'm sorry this month didn't work out for you, and for your loss.
    Me 42, DH 33, TTC for about a year naturally (but no protection for 4 yrs). Together 6 yrs, married June 2014.
    CD 3, FSH of 15, E2 67, AMH 0.43, LH 6.2, normal HSG test
    DH good count but low volume, 87% motility, 1% morphology
    IUI#1 - Nov 2014, 100 mg clomid and HCG, 2 large follies 20 & 16mm (7 follies total). BFN
    IVF# 1 Jan 2014, 225 Gonal F, 225 Menopur, Ganirelix, 4R/3M/1F w/ICSI - PUPO!
