Hi MoMs!

No much to update this week. I am getting my RH shot soon and glucose testing next week at the OB.

My upper back and hips hurt and I toss and turn all night. I just can't get comfy at night. .

QOTW: We go to my MIL for Christmas Dinner, but once babies are here we want to stay home at Christmas, so that is one change we plan on making. I am sure I will come up with other traditions as they get older. I always love seeing creative ways on FB that parents do with Elf on the Shelf during the season.

Today's my V-DAY!!! 

 Feeling cruddy though...tired of this wrist brace, throbbing pelvis and yelling out from pain in my sleep when wanting to change any type of position. 

Doctor appt with my OB today though, so she will hear all of my complaints. Also taking my maternity leave paperwork to her today and will request to be off work starting Dec. 1. I've calculated that my 12 allowed weeks of leave will line right up with whenever the girls arrive and the time to be home with them after birth and recovery. Plus it'll only be 4 weeks of unpaid leave, the final 8 weeks will be paid out from my sick leave bank. Hope she's on board with that. 

Holiday traditions...just Christmas with my parents...this is actually going to be my first Christmas that we won't be with them because it's too far along for travel...so a nice small family Christmas for us this year, but it'll be in our new house, so that's exciting.

Had my 24 week appointment and ultrasound- Doctor expressed some concern that my cervix while still long was very soft. It was great to see the girls kicking away! As far as holiday traditions- we have a ton and a big family so I am hoping to be feeling good enough that my other two kids can experience it all this year. My son will be just over 2 this year and I think it will be the first year he sort of "gets" some of the Christmas stuff.

@PeaceofKia‌ Nice that you can start counting down to Dec 1st !! I accidentally elbowed my own ribs when getting up the other night, so I hear you on the night pains.

@courtlandmatthew‌ Hope his concern was nothing! Glad to hear that the girls are kicking away. Are you feeling the movement?

Hey multiples mamas!

26 weeks and change this week and babies are growing big!  Both were 2.7lbs this week!  Sadly my cervix decided to shorten a little quicker than my MFM wants to see so I am on restricted movement this week and getting rechecked next week.  It was 2.7 (previously 3.8-4.6 range).  So if it shortens anymore this week I have to go on bedrest.  I was hoping to work until 30 weeks but that is looking less likely now...

QOTW:  I adore everything Christmas and can't wait to start traditions of our own. Right now we do Christmas Eve with my family then  hurry and drive across state to spend Christmas day with my in laws.  I want to have our own little family with Gifts and Christmas breakfast at our our own home.

cls78 thanks!   I have been really upping my protein trying to get their weights about he 50% percentile... they are now over the 70th!  Their weights are putting on a strain on my cervix though! 

I really do't' want bedrest but I am trying to be positive... hey atleast I will have all the Holiday movies

I am hangin in there. Still having a lot of anxiety about my blood pressure. Back in the hospital this week because of my nausea and vomiting. Did some blood work and everything came back normal. My cervix had also shortened. Not sure what the plans are for that. Right now I was just told no sex and to take it easy at home.

QOTW: Tradition is just spending Christmas with family which we will continue to do once the babies get here.

HI Ladies!! I love seeing everyone's updates!

I'm well over here.. starting to get backaches if I've been sitting too long. My glucose test is next week also @cls78! Do we find out results right away, or does it take days?

My first shower is Saturday!! I'm going to be an emotional wreck I'm sure. My best friends are all coming in from out of town. It just means the world to me. Plus seeing my family too of course

QOTW: Right now tradtion if at my moms is to go to church on xmas eve and open one gift. Then wake up and open presents there & eat breakfast together. Then we go to my grandma's w/ all the cousins/aunts. Once the boys come, I just want my immediate family to come to us haha. We really aren't that close w/ our cousins/aunts so we aren't really missing much sadly. I def. want to have the whole morning/afternoon together as a family and xmas eve.

@baileylove22 Sorry to hear abt the issues. Put your feet up and I hope things improve!!

@ksgsmu I hear you on the bed rest. I was hoping to work until 32w. But you made a good point abt the holiday movies coming up!! Also, I have to say.. I'm now glad I'm getting my cervix checked so often. My lengths have been like yours (over 4)... so I def. see the benefit now. Thank you for sharing!

Hi ladies!  I'm so behind today with my responses after rushing around all morning, working all afternoon, and the dumb BUMP not cooperating with ANYTHING. I can just now reply and love tit.  UGH!

I'm doing fine.  Feeling actually a bit more spry the last few days.  Just last week, I couldn't do much of anything without being sore, but now I can at least tidy a few rooms, fold a bit of laundry, etc. before feeling like death.  I'm working hard to take a nap or at least lie down for 30 minutes each day.  It's been helping a LOT.

I'm expanding quickly and my MIL was tickled to tell me today that when I sit down, my belly rests on my legs.  Not sure how I feel about that.....

Christmas is our FAVORITE time of year.  DH sings Christmas songs year round, but maybe because that's all he knows the words to.  We usually have a hectic few days with spending the night at my mom and dad's house, waking up early for stockings and gifts, followed by eggs/bacon/beignets.  We head home around 10:30 to shower and restock the car with gifts for DH's family and head to MIL's house at noon.  We do a huge lunch and then presents there.  We usually see a movie that night!    Then we recover for 5 days before heading to FL for NYE.  

This year will look a LOT different.  I'll be just under 34 weeks, so everyone will have to come to us most likely.  They WON'T be happy with that.  It will mean moving over 20 people....oh well, not my problem.  I'm growing humans.

Hey MoMs! Everything is going well this week. Had my 3hr glucose test Monday and I Passed!!!!!! All 4 blood test came back perfect. I had my baby shower on sat ( my sister did it and is out of town so only had this weekend to do it) and everyone came and had a blast. It was so good to see all my girlfriends in one place, I have been missing them now that I don't go out as much. I closed out my registry and was able to get EVERY thing I needed with the money everyone gave me. So nice to have it done and set up .

@PeaceofKia‌ good luck talking with your boss. It will be nice to have a set date to look forward to I am sure:) It is so hard not knowing when the babies could get here and having such a big span of possible dates. .

@courtlandmatthew‌ what is a soft cervix? Hope it is not a big deal and there are no problems:) .

@ksgsmu‌ Wow 2.7lbs!!! That is amazing! I am excited to find out how much the boys have grown next week but I am hoping for around 2lbs at least. You are doing such an amazing job! Really hope some rest now helps and there is no bed rest for at least a few more weeks. .

@baileylove22‌ I hate hearing that you are still not feeling good. Please keep us posted and let us know hoe the rest of the week goes. I will keep you in my thoughts! .

@MissEm15‌ Good luck on you test next week! They gave me my results for bothe the 1&3hr tests the next day so hope it is the same for you. .

@kefttsc‌ glad you are getting a little rest in and it is making you feel better, keep it up! .

So, we didn't necessarily discuss dates, but came up with the idea of talking to my principal and seeing if I could have my groups of students come to me, to lessen the tremendous amount of walking I do through the day. If I can get my principal to approve that idea, I'd be okay working until Christmas break (I think, we'll see how that goes).

Other than that, the girls are great, glucose test on Monday and MFM appt on Monday!!

Forgot to say when i went to BRU they let me use my 10% off for twins, 10% off for completing my registry, and 25% off from a buy, buy baby coupon. I could do it on both carseats and stroller. They also did not have the ones I wanted in stores so the ordered them and shipped to my house free.

Nlavender13  congrats on passing you 3 hour test... Mine is next week and I really hope I pass.  I am trying to really cut back on sugar and carbs but is so hard.  I am going to have to have my husband hide the Halloween candy from me tonight...

Hey ladies, sorry for the late check in.

 I have been doing good, and the babies look great each weighing about 1lb 10oz at 25 weeks. My cervix is still long and closed.  I am pretty uncomfortable these days but I guess that is to be expected.
