Swaddling?!

My LO was walking right at 40 weeks, but still wants to be swaddled to go to sleep. He is really independent and plays by himself and with other kids, but is the swaddling thing weird?

I thought I had heard it was unsafe to swaddle once they can roll over... I would try to start weaning from the swaddle now.

I was told to stop swaddling once baby is able to roll over. I think it's a suffocation risk - with the swaddle if they somehow manage to roll on their belly, they don't have their arms free to push back over. (I could be wrong on the reason but I do know that it is considered unsafe to swaddle once they can roll)

I second the zippy! We would've died without ours, ok not literally but still....
