My amazing labor buddy has been checked in for induction, given cervidil (spelling?) so far and is awaiting news on progress and next steps. Please wish her well and I will try and update a much as possible (I'm coming off a 15 hour labor and an emergency c so bear with ). Labor buddies unite!!!

***Update*** Coen Michael was finally born today and both mom and baby boy are healthy and resting well. Either she or I will share more details after she gets some sleep. Congrats to mom and baby for a job well done!!!

Super late update! I sort of got lost in the world of newborn baby and my birth going in a completely different direction that anticipated.

After 26 hours of contractions, having my water broken, the cervidil not working, being on 40 mL units of Pitocin without any progress (and NO pain medication) I finally ended up having a c-section.

By that point, I was out of my mind with pain from the Pitocin and just desperate for it to stop. It's all a bit of a blur, but baby Coen did amazing, and never once faltered...he just did not want to come out!

Two weeks in...well, motherhood is 100% different than I ever expected, but it's getting better everyday. I'll probably eventually post a birth story, but my brain is still all but mush two weeks in.
