Ok - little guy is 24 wks and I don't know if I'm feeding him the correct amount. We've always been of the practice to not immediately think "food" when he whimpers or cries. There's no consistency in the amount we feed him (solids) - it varies depending on how much he'll eat. He usually lets us know he's no longer digging the solid and will throw a fit until there's a bottle placed in his mouth (or a boob).
He's going to the Dr in a couple of weeks for his 6mth so I'm not too, too concerned but am curious what others his age are eating.Your input on what you're doing would be appreciated!
Do you mean bottle ounces or baby food? He does 6 or 7 oz bottles. I like to give him a big one before bed and when he gets up in the morning. He's a big boy though. He is 19lbs so requires more food. I'm not sure how much I'm giving him for baby food. It's go made so I do one cube for late breakfast and one for dinner. I'm going to measure, but I assume it's a little less than a small jar.
I ended up getting little food storage cups from babies r us awhile ago. I realize now I dont need them and I totally wasted my money. I do like the oxo brand I got because its bpa free and I put food in there to travel and heat up.
We're waiting until DD is 6 months old to start food. Even then we'll do boob first then food. I'm planning on doing baby led weaning so if DD is anything like her sister it will be months before she eats significant quantities if anything. Food is just for practice at this age.
@sstwinklinglites I haven't decided how im going to do the food now because I use ice cube trays. To feed her I take out 2 cubes, put them in a glass cup to warm and feed her right out of the cup.
