This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for November. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below.  Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer.  Also, please update us along the way!

I am heading to the clinic right now for my baseline u/s and b/w. If everything goes well I will order my meds by the end of the day.

QOTD:  Oooh I have several...Chocolate, milkshake, Ice Cream, Wine with DH and a nice meal… I am planning to drink a good wine before start stimming

Hey @mariana81‌ and Tiny Turkeys! I'm here. I'm sorry I missed the last check-in completely. Work and life have been incredibly busy. I'll go back and read the updates. :-)

My insurance company has be awful about me ordering my meds. I spent hours working on it last week. By the end of the week my husband was working directly with the VP of member services. On Tuesday it was still so messed up that I took a half day off work and spent most of *six hours* on the phone trying to get it straightened out.

Anyway, yesterday I finally was able to order my meds. I'm incredibly relieved. They should be here on Friday!

ETA QOTD: Starbucks! I spend way too much money there, but it is my big treat to myself. :-)

Hi everyone This is my first Ivf cycle. I had my ER yesterday and retrieved 17 eggs! That is huge since I only had 11 seen follies which were soooo slow to grow. I was in high dose stims for 12 days (low amh). I am now just feeling the aftermath of RE. A little about me. DH (31) and I (30) have been TTC for 2 years. I did two rounds of clomid with my OB. Then started infertility testing a year ago. Initially my Lt tube was blocked and Rt was open. Planned in having surgery to explore cause in May 2013. Well went in to the emergency room on March 1 2014 for an unrealized ectopic that ruptured on right tube. So now I have no tubed and IVF is my only option. DH and I live in Chicago burbs. We have one large dog and two cats. Looking forward to connecting with everyone.

I have my baseline ultra sound and mock transfer Monday, and I start Lupron on Tuesday if all goes well.

@lao12 - wow those are great numbers, especially with low AMH!  Welcome to the board -  You and I seem to have a lot in common - history of ectopic, low AMH, Chicago area   Rest up, the day after ER I was a little sore and had to take it easy! Good luck!

AFM - I started Lupron yesterday!!!  No side effects yet.  Glad I am getting things started!! I received my goody package of meds at the beginning of the week.  November 19 cannot get here soon enough!!  But I am a little worried about the PIO.  Last month I had some weird reaction to he shot and my right cheek had a huge rash all over it.  I called the nurse and they did not seem to worried since it was only on one side.  The pharmacy tried to get me olive oil instead of sesame oil, but my insurance would not cover it.  This is the only thing they cover, and saves us almost $300.  Since we are OOP I decided to suck it up and try the sesame oil one more time before having to spend the more money out of our own pocket. 

QOTD - I love chocolate, food, and wine!!!!  Last weekend while DH and I were in the Chicago area we went to this amazing restaurant called Catch 35.  OMG the food was wonderful, but the bottle of wine we had was divine.  Since we knew it was our last big hurrah (hopefully for 9 months) we splurged on this wine.  I was in heaven.  Then after dinner DH and I stopped into this cute chocolate shop around the corner and I had several chocolate salted caramels!!  Perfect guilty pleasure night!!

lebradford I just had to fight with my insurance company a couple weeks ago. It took me 4 days and a call to our plan manager to figure out. It turns out there was a glitch in the system that wasn't allowing specialty coverage. The plan manager had to call freedom and verbally push the coverage through so I did get them. although it was a day late.

NariaDreaming I had a similar experience with my PCP (he is also a GYN but not mine) right before IVF #1. I left in tears which really pissed DH off. Besides, fat people get pregnant all the time and you don't tell them not to try so why do you think it's okay to tell someone who is having trouble. Ugh.

I don't have anything to report here. I start stims tomorrow night finally so things will hopefully be picking up for me.

QOTW: 16 and pregnant and Teen mom... DH and I love to sit around and judge other people. is that bad? Probably. Oh, and really bad contemporary romance novels for when you finish that really good YA series and are in a funk.

Hi, I also left this message on the other Tiny Turkeys thread, not sure which one I should use. I'd like to join this group. I started stims last night for IVF #2. I'm doing the Estrogen Priming Protocol so I started the patch and three days of Ganirelix last week. Looks like retrieval will be very early November. Really really hoping they get more eggs than IVF #1.

@NariaDreaming I'm sorry your RE is being an ass!  If your weight was such a concern why did he not bring it up before? Personally I feel like unless it is causing health issues, I question how much weight affects success rates.

I had my baseline u/s and b/w this morning.  U/s was clear, no cysts still waiting on the b/w results.  I should start delestrogen injections for estrogen priming tomorrow.  I also got an email that my blood work kit arrived at the lab today, shipping my blood is one of the weirder things I have done for infertility.

QOTD: Last night I cheated on my low carb diet and had a bowl of kraft mac n cheese for dinner.  I can live without desserts but I miss pasta.  And potato chips, I love salt and vinegar chips.

Nutmeg8484 - Teen Mom is my guilty pleasure too! I was debating if I should admit that on this board since everyone else said far less guilty things such as wine and food. Teen Mom is really bad. I, too, got my DH to watch it with me. I also think..... those babies could be my grandchildren. 

I started Lupron this am. I sat there with the needle for twenty minutes trying to use it and eventually lost it in a sobbing fit (I have a severe fear of needles). I woke my DH up and then asked him to walk the dog. While he was gone I pushed part of it in... then kept hitting on it until it was all the way in.... I have a difficult time putting enough pressure on the needle. It's not like it requires a lot, but I'm seriously afraid of needles. I think tomorrow will be better AND I did it! I just felt so great after I actually did it.

QOTD: I like bad reality TV with Teen Mom being my favorite. I also knit... which I'm embarrassed about for some reason, so it must be a guilty pleasure.

I'm sorry, but I did update last week. The PGD results showed that we had nothing viable. We are out.  And we won't be trying again.  I'm sorry if you guys thought I was ignoring you, that was not my intent.  Good luck to everyone and hugs to the ladies that need them.

Wow @lebradford what a nightmare!! I would be insanely mad with those people from your insurance!!! As if we didn’t have enough stress with IF. At least you got your meds so I am happy for you.

Hello @LAO12, welcome!!! 17 eggs is an awesome result!!! Congratulations!!! So just to let you know, there is also an October group called autumn acorns for ladies that have ER/ET in October and they probably are in the same page as you… you will notice that our group is still preparing or beginning the stim phase..  Anyway, you are always more than welcome to stay with us >:D< FX for your fert results!!!

oh @carrieharry79 I am happy for you, this feeling of accomplishment is so great, right?

Thank you Ladies for the good luck wishes… unfortunately the doctor has found a cyst in my right ovary she said it is also possible to be a follicle as my cycle is short, but I should wait for the b/w results to see what to do next… I really hope this will not affect or delay my IVF#2.

Hi ladies! 

 In about an hour I will be calling to pay our tab of $16,000, draining our savings. It's a tough pill to swallow today. And I had nightmares last night about huge needles, shots, and my DH sucking at giving them to me. 

 On the bright side, it's supposed to be beautiful here this weekend and I'm looking forward to enjoying some outdoor activities

QOTD: I am currently struggling with food. I have done so well for the 4 months leading up to this point, eating extremely healthy/organic. The last 3 weeks have been a shit show of take out, delivery, drive thrus, and sweets. WTF?!

@jen102279 I'm so sorry. ((hugs)) @mariana81 I'm sorry about the cyst, FX that your estrogen is low and it won't delay your cycle. Will your clinic aspirate a cyst? My RE said that they would do this if I had a cyst and it wouldn't delay our cycle. I know some clinics put you back on BCPs though.

@cwoodward777 We are having a last hurrah dinner in Chicago too! Yours sounded great! I think Catch 35 is actually one of the places we researched when picking a place. I’ll have to check it out at some point. We are going to Boka, which is one of the few Michelin rated restaurants in the city. I’m so excited!!

Wow we have a big group here! I started bc yesterday, only have to take it trough tomorrow then stims start monday! I should be receiving my meds tomorrow. I am a little too excited about that!

So I made my hubby do the insurance calling. I feel like I have a bigger role in the IVF process and he offered to help. After several hours over a multiple days he got somewhere. Depending on how they write it up a portion may be covered. So yesterday I got a phone call that my dr ordered my meds. The cash price is $2,500. She took my insurance info and said she would get back to me after looking into it. Later I got the phone call... our cost is $230! Seriously?!?!? I still am in shock and don't fully believe it. They don't cover IVF at all but seem to be paying for the medication. So meds are being shipped to my doctors office since they have a frig and I'll pick them up next Tuesday.

Trial transfer and sonohystogram are on Monday.

Over 1/2 way done with the birth control pills!

Guilty pleasures? Too many to name between my food selections and trashy tv shows. :-)

Away in Europe on vaca but still wanted to check in, today is DH and I 4yr wedding anniversary, leading me to my guilty pleasure of food and wine!!!! Can't say no to an 8 course meal in Bruges, Belgium but right now my stomach is pissed at me! Protonix is a must for the rest of the trip! Finishing up BCPs next week, baseline next Fri. I swear I'm gonna go back to eating healthy when I get home!

I'm on night 4 of stims. My AFC was 10 on one side and >10 on the other. I have my E2 drawn Saturday. QOTW: Wine. I guess I'll have to find something else if this IVF works!

I'm in the same situation as @nowthatsalady. I've been in the October group thinking my ER would be late October, but it will now clearly be early November as I am starting stims on Friday (thanks to AF for being several days late to this party). What do you think?

Thank you ladies, I am very happy too!!!  I was a little bit sad this morning, struggling with the idea of having my cycle delayed, but gladly it was everything good to go... I still have to order my medication, but I will do it tomorrow and then wait for my early christmas box.

Nothing new here. Just keeping at it with the Lupron, Metformin, prednisone & Synthroid. I will start Delestrogen on Monday, and our donor will start stims 11/1. I'm currently listed as 'stimming' which isn't accurate. But whatever

Good afternoon everyone. Tomorrow would have been last day of BCP, but due to scheduling and MIL coming, I have to push it another week, till next Friday.If everything goes as planned then I start Stims on Nov. 4 but lets hope my body cooperates and AF show up when I expect it to. 

QOTD: my guilty pleasure is Chocolate, Castle, Scandal, Revenge, Once Upon Time, and Bones. and Ooh I forgot The Good Wife.
