I think it's stupid that if someone has their history deleted and has posted in our awesome thread that the thread dies.

Here's dumb question....I understand why we have mods and that they are important, but why would anyone actually want to be a mod? It's all voluntary right? Are the mods all just selfless women who are assisting out of the kindness of their heart? What am I missing?

I think there are quite a few people here who love the community and don't mind devoting some of the time they spend of the boards to moderating them. I know I really love it here and would step up to help if there weren't already willing awesome candidates.

I changed the name of the other thread, hopefully it will get abandoned and this one will take off again quickly. We did awesome last time.

You could also create a FB group with your favorite posters that you feel safe with.

My 4yr has no comprehension of timing obviously cuz he is 4. And always says "las-a-day" to mean anytime prior to the present and I think it kind a works and I don't bother to correct him to say.. (i.e "remember when you took me to the park near the house las-a day")

Those comments are generally made tongue in cheek. I won't speak for @leosmom25, but I personally agreed with her comment in the sense that the "This board needs" thread flew under the radar and rarely had newbs, lurkers, or trolls make an appearance. "Hodor (is dead)" had all three. And this one will likely as well. It'll be difficult to recreate the 'under the radar-ness' of the original thread.

My tinfoil hat wont let me participate in the facebook group but I would dig an invite only bump group.

I think the post count and hugeness of "this board needs" intimidated the newbs/lurkers/trolls. I think if we could keep the thread alive long enough it would eventually return to that. Its just depressing that we lost it.

Yeah I've made my little group of friends that I cherish very much around here, not naming names or clarifiying what I mean by that, but there are certain people I feel safe with and certain that I just don't trust. I never said anything on the internet was safe; I just feel like the posters in this thread needs were more trustworthy than some of the more recent. That doesn't mean I don't like anyone or not want people to participate, it just means I am very conscious of what I post here because I have no idea who is looking at it and I don't feel a sense of security I felt with others. No need to flame me for that.

Just saying there are options for people to re-unite with their buddies from the old thread if they so desire. And some of those options would actually have more security and privacy. 

I mean, be upset about losing the old thread and express that here if you so desire. I am not trying to censor anyone. Honestly just trying to give options, since people seem genuinely upset over the loss of the old thread.

I am way to excited for Halloween. Finally got both costumes since my H lost the dang mailbox key and I played around with makeup facial hair. I have to say my youngest makes the perfect frigging "bad guy".

H and I were looking at the calendar and discussing what ifs last night since having BH scares the past few days. H is now having some major anxiety over everything. That's fun.

My mom's BF started chemo again yesterday. My mom said if he tolerates it well she should still be coming in Dec to help with the boys.

H just got word that there is going to be a lot of changes at his work. Good changes though his schedule is going to be insane. If everything goes as planned that means we will be buying a house next year! I am so freaking excited about this, especially after moving 7 times across 3 states since 2006. I'm ready for a place to actually call home!
