I notice when I run my fingers thru my hair to get it out of my face and I get like 15 hairs intertwined in my fingers. Or really bad in the shower when I shampoo and condition. Luckily, I made a habit of sticking it to the wall and throwing it away after I get out. Every night when I shower, I'm pretty sure I can make a doll head and it's disturbing to see the wads of hair from said shower in the trashcan.
Glad to hear that the hair loss is normal! I was getting a little worried at the amount of hair in the shower drain. My mom lost a lot of hair after she had my brother and it never came back so she's been struggling with thin hair for years. I've always had a ton of hair so I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad.

My sweet girl is intent on Tarzan swinging my hair until I go bald. Even in deep sleep, she clenches a fist full. What she hasn't ripped out, is coming out on my brush because my hair is so tangled underneath. My hair is pretty long now, not sure if its so tangled bc of length or post partum hair. Now I remember why I cut it short after my first baby.
I was one of the few that it came out during pregnancy instead, so I'm not dealing with it now (thank god) but I do remember the amounts, oh my when it first started it freaked me out sooo much hair!
Agh, It's so awful. It's coming out in clumps. I'm sweeping like once a day in my bathroom and even our stairs to the mudroom... How does my hair get there???? It's EVERYWHERE. I feel bad when I'm nursing and DS gets a piece of it in his mouth and wrapped around his little wrist.
I don't know if I'm losing hair or not, because LO likes to grab handfuls of it and YANK. Owie. Not sure if he knows he has control of those hands yet, or if he likes to mess with mommy.
I feel bad when I'm nursing and DS gets a piece of it in his mouth and wrapped around his little wrist.
I'm constantly checking to make sure my DDs don't have it wrapped around fingers or toes, I'm terrified of them getting a hair tourniquet. I have to constantly get hairs off their clothes or out of their hands (they love grabbing it and yanking anyway).
Oh god, a hair tourniquet! Great, one more thing to worry about!
I just started losing some hair - a good amount in the shower every day I'm scared I'm gonna end up like my mom. She had gorgeous long brown hair when she was younger and blames me and my sister on losing it all and having really thin hair. My hair is still thick and I keep it short so it's not noticeable but I don't wanna end up like my mom!
Every morning my drain has a baby Cousin It that has to be removed. Not to mention that the entire surface of my bathroom is covered in hairs. Every time I look down there are several on my shirts, not to even forget the many that are found on DS. :-( I even had a stylist take off at least 8 inches.
I had to google hair tourniquet and now I have a new found irrational fear. Esp. since I somehow keep finding my hair in DS's diaper. That would be absolutely terrible. I thought the worry about the itch was bad....

I have incredibly thick hair and I am losing an incredible amount of it everyday.
How long is it supposed to last?
I think I'm gona look like this without even needing to use clippers. The hair is everywhere expect my head!

I am so ready for it to stop, otherwise I'll be looking like Britney soon, too!
Now I really want too wake DS up from his nap just so I can check him and make sure he doesn't have my hairs wrapped anywhere!
Eta: for some reason the quote box didn't even show up in my reply. "It" refers to a hair tourniquet.
