Halloween house

@klondikebar‌ tell me more about your Halloween house with the windows that the kids decorate. Would you PIP?

I thought my kids were too young when you first mentioned it, but I think I'm going to go for it! I love the Halloween crafts.

Anyone else with cool Halloween crafts, feel free to chime in!

So far this year we've made pumpkins from paper plates, painted real pumpkins, and decorated cookies. We were going to make/decorate caramel apples this afternoon, but I ended up getting a headache and being lazy.

DS1(3) is really getting into the crafts, but DS2(18mos) still tries to eat the paint so balancing then is super fun.

We made two of them this year. I'm only on real quick and just have a photo of the smaller one that is just DS2's. I have a larger house for all of the kids and the edges are cleaner, but it's about the same design. It does have shutters and a door though. I used the thick craft foam board and utility knife to make the house. The windows are construction paper taped on the back.

Have you seen the cute decorated front doors floating around the internetz?
You can cover the whole door in colored paper or just use your door color, use paper plates with black paper circles in the center as eyes. Jagged paper hair and some stitches on the cheek. Looks pretty easy.
