A warm welcome and congratulations to everyone that has made it to this check-in! If there are any newcomers, please come on in and join us. Note your due date, how many beans, and a little background on your IF journey to get here.
Wishing you all the best! Good luck to all the ladies moving on to the 2nd trimester in the coming week! Feel free to post your updates here up until the 14th week.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Big milestones?
Good morning! Everything is trucking along...no appointments for a while. The meds have helped my MS, although the evenings are still rough. But I got to do some cleaning and laundry yesterday which was a big win for me. We also went by Babies R Us to looks at cribs and I made it through without crying this time. I ordered a doppler last night and can't wait for it to come in!
QOTW: I grew up in Puerto Rico, so it was Menudo. To any young ones who don't know who they were, they were the original boy band from there. It was the Ricky Martin years, although I had a crush on one of the other guys. I had a big ol' Menudo poster I would kiss every morning. Hahaha!
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!! Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545 -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
Good morning! I love reading all the updates! We are 6w5d and had our first u/s today where we got to see a beautiful bean and hb of 128! It was amazing! Measuring a few days behind at the moment but RE said it was nothing to worry about. Now I am released from my clinic and hopefully will get in with my OB soon. Felt a little queasy the past couple of days but haven't thrown up yet
QOTW: Mine was the N Sync No Strings Attached concert. Remember "Bye Bye Bye"?! I think Pink opened up for them. I was a big N Sync fan (and JT fan).

I'm really struggling with the MS. I hate to complain about it because I'm so extremely happy to be pregnant. But I'm really falling behind on work, and I'm just so sick all the time.
In other news, DH and I are trying to decide whether we want to be Team Green. AKA, he wants to be Team Green, and I'm not sure if I can wait to find out the sex! He also doesn't want to do any more u/s until the anatomy scan--and I just want to keep checking that bean is okay! Anyone else going through this?
QOTW: My first concert was actually a Beastie Boys concert…. so weird, I know.
A little background: I have PCOS and I do not ovulate on my own, ever. We started to see our wonderful RE a year ago. I went through 2 femara cycles and 4 unsuccessful femara IUIs before we decided that IVF was our best option. IVF#1 was in September and we ended up with 24 eggs retrieved, 13 mature, 11 fertilized. We transferred two 5-day blasts on 9/24 and had two frosties. I got my first ever BFP on 9/30 at 5dp5dt. I'm so thankful for my little babies!
QOTW: My first concert was a Backstreet Boys concert. I was in 5th grade and I made a big poster with Brian's name on it lol.

I am 8 weeks exactly today. MS has gotten the best of me today. Last week was rough as well (ms and exhaustion). Hoping it settles soon. But not complaining at the same time. We had an u/s last week. Strong hb at 150. Go again this week - my clinic has me go weekly. But I will be starting with my OB in two weeks, and be discharged.
Oh and my EDD is 5/25 :-)
Concert... Debbie Gibson. High bangs with a hat and denim jacket and all. lol
@Lesliem0901 I'm so sorry for your loss. T&Ps with you and your family.
@MrsLolaSky Have you tried taking Unisom and B6 in the evening? I would still be sick, but it helped me sleep and be ok for a few hours in the morning. You can also see about a prescription. I feel you pain! I'll take whatever symptoms are thrown at me for this baby, but day after day of being sick just wears on you.

These concerts are really cracking me up. @Buttmonkey34 - Jonathan was my favorite of the NK, too. ;-)
I canNOT believe this is my last week in the first trim, and some people would say I'm already in the second! I had my NT scan last week and will get the full report from the doc on Wednesday. If all looks good, I think we might actually start purchasing stuff. If I can get my OH to care. Is anyone else's OH totally uninvolved and apathetic about pregnancy/baby? I know he was happy, as he cried after an early good ultrasound, but he hasn't touched any of the pregnancy books and I can barely get him to listen to me for five minutes on the topic. He's gotten obsessed with convincing me to put solar power on our house, and it seems like we might have other priorities right now.

Please, PLEASE stick this time!!!!
I wanted to wait until after today's ultrasound to post an update.. because that's how my brain works.
Anyways.
It went great! Last Monday it measured 6w3d, a week later it's 7w5d! A
little growth spurt! And the HR was at 153. He did find a small SCH
(I had one last time too..), and said that could be the reason for all
the spotting.
On another note. I was planning to call and
schedule my first OB appointment after today's ultrasound. The dr (not
my regular RE) today asked who my OB was, I told him, and he says "Oh,
she moved practices." Huh? I LOVED her old practice. There were one 3
doctors there, all awesome, so I knew I was in good hands. Well, one
of them decided to retire so the remaining 2 had to move. Now she is in
a practice with 13 other doctors. And I found out my dr doesn't do the
ultrasounds - a tech does before my appointment. At her old practice
she did them all, which was very comforting. So, I don't handle change
very well and this has me all turned upside down (yes, no big deal.. but
I can be a little crazy, haha.).
My last RE ultrasound is 2
weeks from today. Then on 11/12 I have my first appointment with my
OB. I will be a day shy of 12 weeks!
I'm 9w2d today. I only have one more week before I get to FINALLY go back to the doctor. I'll be meeting with a NP for my intake appointment and I'm fairly certain I'm going to try to bribe her for a look or a listen if she doesn't offer. I just need to know that they are okay in there. It's been over three weeks since we've gotten a look. Gah. I hate waiting.
I'm sick at least once a day, sometimes more. So I know I should take comfort in the symptoms, but it's just not even enough for my IF brain.
QOTW: Good ol' John Michael Montgomery. I wasn't even that big of a country fan. But I went with two good friends in 8th grade. We were SO grownup.
I am half way through Week 7! I feel very tired and bloated. No terrible MS but I do get nauseous easily and have dry heaved. My RE graduated me to the OB which I feel seems early but ok...I love my OB!
I actually started a light exercise plan this weekend to help with the aches and the frumpy dumpy feeling.
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
@gsancho- can you please add me back? It looks like I've fallen off, EDD 5/31/15, 2 beans. Thank you!
7w1d today. I have good days and bad, but pretty consistent nausea and dry heaving. I actually vomit at least once or twice a day. Ugh. I am still f-ing terrified, but my mantra is that the babies are fine. 2 weeks until my next ultrasound and release to the OB (I need to actually find one during this time).
QOTD- Eminem in 1999. Still one of my favorite concerts.

I'm 5 weeks 4 days and have bloodwork on Thursday then my second u/s is next Thursday when I'll be 7 wks. I'm debating on whether or not I should ask if I can also do an u/s this Thurs too. We had one last Thurs at 5 weeks but all we could see was the gestational sac so I just really wish I could have a quick u/s thurs just to see if the yolk sac and fetal pole are there and looking ok so that I know I'm progressing.
My first concert was NKOTB just like @buttmonkey34! Those were the days lol!
@Lesliem0901 I'm so sorry for your lost. Take this time to heal and do something nice for yourself. I know it's heart breaking.
Love reading all the updates for this week! I am 6w5d and I have my 3rd u/s tomorrow. Praying and hoping for a strong HB. Last week they "thought" they saw a fetal pole so I'm hoping we see growth and a bean inside my sack! I'm still very nervous. Had some cramping through out the night but I think it was due to the full bladder. Because after I released my bladder it felt better. I'll give another update tomorrow. Hopefully a positive one. Other than the sore boobs, constipation and sleepiness I have no other symptoms

QOTW: (otherwise I'll forget to add it) I have never gone to a concert unless you count the ones that I was in for band and chorus. I know, I'm a weirdo but my parents were super strict and never would've let me go.
I had my first U/S today and it went very well. They re-calculated my dates though so I'm apparently 7w1d and not 7w3d like I had thought. I don't know why, but I figure this lady has been doing this for a while so I'll take her word. So my EDD is now 5/30. And there were 2 little babies in there both with strong HB's! Knowing the rate would've been nice but she didn't say. I'm a graduate now first OB appt is 10/27 with the NP.

@Lesliem0901 I'm so sorry for your loss, T&P for you.
I'm 12w2d and have about 3 weeks until my next OB appointment.
The biggest news is that I'll be stopping my progesterone. I was supposed to stop last Monday, but I decided to continue with 100 mg endometrin daily (down from two). My progesterone was low during the 2ww (10.7) then super high when they added 600 (!) mg of oral prometrium and since I stopped the oral progesterone it has been anywhere between 27 and 37. They had me step down to 200 mg of endometrin and bloodwork showed a progesterone level of 47. For my RE that was enough evidence the placenta had taken over. I begged them to do another reading last week (I hadn't taken my progesterone that day) and the level was 45. I know it is likely fine, but part of me wants to continue doing every other day suppositories until 13 weeks, because I'm a chicken. However, I also know there is some risk of birthdefects in males with progesterone, and if that would happen I would feel forever guilty.....so many doubts!!!
Other than these decisions weighing down on me I feel pretty good! My new stretchy pants are glued to me, because this bloat is not going anywhere. Nausea has pretty much calmed down. Some food aversions still linger though. Yep, not bad at all, I feel very lucky with how this is all going thus far!

My estrogen has gone up to about 800 even after decreasing the patches and my progesterone is 74, the highest it's ever been. He said it looks like my body is starting to produce some hormones. I get to decrease the vivelle patches again this week.

@gsancho Checking in here for the first time today! EDD is June 3rd.
It's been a long journey, we've been TTC since 2010... that is, if you can call it "trying" when you're not ovulating or having periods. My cycles have always been wacky and I sometimes had super long periods, so there were a few times in the past when my gynecologist put me on birth control pills for a few months to regulate things. One such episode happened shortly before DH and I got engaged, so I just stayed on the pill through the wedding and first couple months of marriage. Shortly after the wedding, I started having breakthrough bleeding on the pill, and we decided we were ready to gladly welcome children anyway, so I stopped taking the pill and then didn't have a period for a year. It was the longest I'd ever been on the pill, and I'd heard it could take awhile for your body to readjust, so I didn't worry too much or rush to the doctor. Of course, I look back now and think, my cycles were never normal, even years before, I should have gone straight to the RE!
Alas, we spent over a year with my OBGYN for initial testing (all normal, except low progesterone indicating no ovulation) and 5 failed rounds of increasing dosages of clomid and then femara/letrozole; none caused ovulation. Finally got a referral to the RE, waited months for the first appointment, tons more bloodwork (again, everything normal except for super low AMH of 0.4 indicating diminished ovarian reserve), then first trial of gonadotropins/IUI. Responded well, all things considered -- too well, in fact. We hadn't done all the necessary testing and paperwork for IVF, so when we had 7 follicles and decided that was too risky to trigger for IUI, we cancelled that cycle. Lowered the dosage to attempt IUI again, and my ovaries took a vacation; no response from my follicles at all.
Realizing there was no guaranteed way to get my ovaries to respond with just 1-2 follicles to attempt IUI, we then turned to IVF. Unfortunately, even on a higher dosage of gonadotropins, I didn't respond nearly as well as the first time. We got 5 mature eggs, but they were all pretty poor quality, which showed in the resulting embryos -- 3 arrested, and we transferred the remaining 2 on day 3, but it was a BFN. At follow-up appt with RE he said we had maybe a 10% chance of conceiving with my eggs and suggested donor eggs. But I just wasn't ready to give up on bio children quite yet, we wanted to try one more time. RE suggested egg banking, since IVF is essentially a numbers game. We decided to go through egg retrieval twice (to hopefully get twice the amount of eggs/embryos), but just fertilize and transfer after the 2nd retrieval.
Egg banking retrieval last December gave us 8 eggs to freeze. We got 5 more in September for a total of 13, 9 of which fertilized. Overall, we had better quality than the first IVF. We transferred two grade B embryos on day 3. Most of the remaining embryos were not dividing on schedule and had a lot of fragmentation, but one made it to blastocyst stage for freezing. Got a very faint positive on a hpt 8dp3dt, but they kept getting darker each day, and beta at 11dpt3dt confirmed the BFP!
It's still hard to believe, and I know it's still early and anything can happen. We are "cautiously optimistic." First ultrasound was yesterday, and we saw one baby measuring right on track with a heartbeat of 127 bpm! That definitely makes it seem more real (but, also, something even more tangible to lose!).
QOTW: like @IFinTN my first concert was also Amy Grant!
I'm patiently waiting for my 6w us tomorrow (Thursday) hoping to hear a heartbeat. Last week I had my beta checked at 5w1d and it was really high at 10,927 which I assume is a good thing. We confirmed there was only one and we already saw the yoke which was reassuring.
QOTD.first concert was Tiffany! Any remeber her? "Think we're alone now.... Beating of your heart is the only sound....."

Lesliem0901 so sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers your way.
I am 11w2d and still dealing with awful all day sickness, they put me back on Zofran after Dicglesis did nothing at all and I almost ended up in the ER. I don't go back to the Dr. until I am 14 weeks, and I am not sure what to expect.
@jamielynn53 I'm sorry you are struggling with MS so much...hopefully as you get into weeks 12-14 it gets better.
@IFinTN I know I'd sent you the good luck charm a while back, but it didn't click until now that I spent a summer at White House! I worked for a company in Nashville and had White House and Gallatin as my sales territory. I kinda liked it! Mostly b/c people were really nice, and I made some good money that summer. Now I only head that way periodically to see our client in Franklin.

Whew. Sorry for the vent!

Anyways. It went great! Last Monday it measured 6w3d, a week later it's 7w5d! A little growth spurt! And the HR was at 153. He did find a small SCH (I had one last time too..), and said that could be the reason for all the spotting.
On another note. I was planning to call and schedule my first OB appointment after today's ultrasound. The dr (not my regular RE) today asked who my OB was, I told him, and he says "Oh, she moved practices." Huh? I LOVED her old practice. There were one 3 doctors there, all awesome, so I knew I was in good hands. Well, one of them decided to retire so the remaining 2 had to move. Now she is in a practice with 13 other doctors. And I found out my dr doesn't do the ultrasounds - a tech does before my appointment. At her old practice she did them all, which was very comforting. So, I don't handle change very well and this has me all turned upside down (yes, no big deal.. but I can be a little crazy, haha.).
My last RE ultrasound is 2 weeks from today. Then on 11/12 I have my first appointment with my OB. I will be a day shy of 12 weeks!

Read about it on the blog
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

QOTW- my first concert was Leann Rhymes. I was like 7-8 years old. And I thought she was the best thing since sliced bread.

QOTW: My first real concert was Coldplay.
We've been TTC for 2&1/2 years and this was our 1st FET (two embies that were frozen from first IVF). I have PCOS and DH has MFI. I'm so excited to be here, but Given our history, I'm also anxious.
QOTW- Flogging Molly- I hadn't really listened to the band before the concert but was going with a bunch of friends. They were pretty amazballs and put on quite the show!

I'm off of bed rest but still taking it easy. He said I may spot a little more but it's not bothering the baby. My estrogen has gone up to about 800 even after decreasing the patches and my progesterone is 74, the highest it's ever been. He said it looks like my body is starting to produce some hormones. I get to decrease the vivelle patches again this week.
My last appt is next Tuesday and I go see my OB Friday. I really really really don't want to leave my RE. I almost cried when he told me I had to.
