So my heartburn has finally kicked in and it keeps me awake at night from the pain. I've tried tums but they don't do much help. Anyone have any suggestions? ( I'm a new mommy and this is all new to me
Try aloe juice. You can get it at the Asian food store. It actually tastes good. Also, fennel can help, and essential oils, such as DoTERRA's DigestZen can help. I stay away from pharmaceutical interventions whenever possible.
I found that drinking a large cup of milk before I lay down for the night helps tremendously. (Sometimes followed by 2 tums) I do have to get up to use the bathroom twice but I'd rather that than the heart burn.
