Can't sleep at night?

Either I can't get comfortable, or I wake up to use the bathroom, or I wake up because I'm hungry... I haven't had a full night worth of sleep in over a week now. I'm so exhausted, but the only time I can sleep is on the weekend when I'm sitting on the couch in the middle of the day. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one!!! I feel like I'm losing my mind.

You are not the only one!! I was awake from 2:30 till 3:45 and my alarm went off at 5:15. I can take a nap when I get home from work and then fall asleep at night but usually wake up to pee.

No more sleep until your baby starts sleeping through the night. It's all over.

I'm right there with you! I wake up to pee around 4am and don't really get back to "full" sleep before I have to wake up. I've heard warm milk helps with insomnia, but I think if I drink anything it will just make me have to pee more, hence less sleep!

Yeah, I've been either napping in the evening or falling asleep early, but then I wake up at least an hour before my alarm, heart racing and can't go back to sleep!

I am not up to pee very much but I can never get comfortable. God only knows how I'm going to survive once there's actually a belly there.

    Tainted love ohohwoahoh...

lol sorry it's all I could think of when I read the name of your post! But yes, sleeping has been super rough. I'm either too hot, having freaky dreams, tossing and turning, peeing nonstop or having troubles peeing so I'm up and down all night trying to finish one pee. I've said my goodbye to peaceful sleep :(

I toss and turn all night. Last week I had a sinus infection so that didn't help bc I couldn't breathe thru my nose all night. But I'm up to pee atleast once and then numerous times to get comfortable. always wake up one hour before the alarm but I can sleep like a bear if it's mid day!!!

Same boat here. When I wake up to pee its so difficult to get comfortable and back to sleep. Have you heard of the Snoogle Pillow? That's my next purchase!

Its almost one in the morning. Im probably not going to sleep until 3. Im hungry but im too cold to get up. I need a mini fridge in my room next to the bed!!! Also im not sure if I have to pee or not. I stay up watching anime until I fall asleep. Tea helps but I would be concerned more about having to pee again.

I am so glad you started this post. I have exactly the same issue, no position is comfortable and then when it is I need to pee! I also have horrendous pregnancy bloat so stomach is super uncomfortable.... Arghh, pregnancy is so glam....

Its just after 3 am and I've been up for about an hour. Its like this every night for me. Here's to hoping second trimester will bring better sleep!

Same here...I wake up at 3 and cant get back to sleep for another hour or hour & half. My alarm for work goes off at 7, so needless to say, I'm tired all the time. Also hoping for more sleep in T2

Insomnia affects 80% of pregnant woman so you are definitely not alone! It's not just the physical discomfort, frequent urination, stress and excitement - our dramatic hormonal changes also cause our circadian rhythm to deviate. Hang in there, you'll likely rest better come 2nd trimester!

Hopefully the second trimester will offer more rest (which starts this week), because I can't count on one hand how many full nights of sleep I have had since pregnant.

Oh yea....right there with ya! Suddenly I notice how my SO breathes, and moves, etc...then once I get to falling asleep, BOOM I have to pee! I have yet to find any relief, let me know if you find a trick that works

I have been having the worst time sleeping lately.  We turn our heat down in our apartment but still after I get up to pee I struggle to fall back asleep between too hot and uncomfortable its getting old

Glad you added this post, I've just been miserable trying to sleep, getting comfortable sleeping (which I thought was odd without any bump yet) and getting up every few hours to pee or eat.

Last night, I swear I woke up minutes after just having gone.  It was as if I zombie-walked to the restroom, laid down for 5 minutes and then got right back up to do it again.

OMG, the dreams are horrific.  If it's not horrible enough that I can't sleep, when I actually do sleep - my dreams are beyond bizarre and make me feel odd upon awaking.

Between getting up to pee and my restless legs sleep is rare! You are so not alone!

Little to no sleep at night but 6am comes and I could sleep till noon. If only I didn't have to get up and take my son to school grrrr!!!
This magical second trimester better hurry up!!!

We are all in the same boat! I wake up 2-3 times to pee and this morning at 4 couldn't fall back to sleep. I try not to nap during the day hoping that I will be able to get a better solid sleep at night since I am on bedrest but I am failing. Ended up putting on two movies and stayed awake until well after hubby went to work. Feel totally exhausted and starting to feel hungry again after 9 long weeks of extreme nausea and vomiting including two long hospital stays. Hoping things shape up a little better in the next few weeks for the holidays!!

    Yessss.... Damn sleeping problems.

Getting to sleep is one thing, lately I'm getting super nauseous at bed time.

Then I have to wake up to pee $ I usually lay there for 15-20 minutes thinking about going to pee because I need to be sure I really have to go...

And then I have my bizarre stressful dreams. Last night I had a seemingly never ending dream about work, apparently I no showed and there was some drama at home that made no sense but I couldn't remember where I was supposed to go for work. I was convinced I was going to lose my job and really wanted to smoke (I quit when I got my BFP). Ahhhh... I do not remember my dreams being so consistently crazy last time, sigh.

I thought I was alone!! Getting up to pee! Then I'm thirsty! Then I get up to pee again! When I do get back into bed I'm so uncomfortable! My husband and dogs are going to kick me out of the bedroom soon!!

I had a similar problem with waking up several times a night to pee, and not being able to fall back asleep. Well, the frequent bathroom trips continue; however, I put a night light in my bathroom instead of turning the overhead light on, and can now fall back asleep easier! The faint light isn's as bright and awakening, which makes it easier to gi back to sleep. It's such a simple solution, I hope it can help some of y'all too!

I slept pretty soundly first trimester, and once second hit I have been struggling to sleep! I can fall asleep on the couch in the early evening so easily but getting a full nights sleep is elusive. I hope this is a phase!
