Any Lombard moms?

Our DS starts kindergarten next year and we are contemplating whether or not to stay in Chicago or move to the suburbs this spring, specifically Lombard. Any Lombard moms willing to weigh in on how they like living there? We've spent several weekends driving around and exploring the area and it seems like a great family friendly suburb without being too far from the city and easily accessible to several highways which is important for my commuting husband.

I'm not in Lombard but I am in Berkeley not too far from Lombard, we love it out here. Great doctors & day care facilities out here if you're looking into that.

I'm in Lombard and I absolutely love it! I'm by the Lombard train stop, it's kind of a more "historic" area. Really cute part of town, and very family friendly. If you have any more specific questions, let me know!

@jasi704 Thank you! Are you a transplant to Lombard from somewhere else? Are there any parts of Lombard you suggest against?

I've always lived in the Chicagoland area. Grew up in Berwyn, then lived in Chicago, then Addison, and now Lombard. We moved to Lombard right when I found out I was pregnant actually. It seemed like a great place to raise a family, and close to different things, like parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. I pretty much think most of Lombard is nice, but I think the absolute best areas, if you look at a map, would fall south of North Ave, east of Route 53, north of Roosevelt and west of Westmore Meyers Rd.
