My DD almost always crys/fusses when we change her.  Could she just not like it? Its hard bc in the middle of the night she crys pretty loud and I have to take her downstairs to change her so that she dosent disturb everyone, even though she is loud down there too.

My twins both cry pretty loud when getting changed. It seems as though it helps if I change them after they eat if possible because they're a little calmer...sometimes they don't cry at all when I do it that way.
    Best of luck

She might be cold. I discovered that was the problem with my first. I started using a receiving blanket over her tummy and she didn't cry so much after that.

My LO almost always cries during diaper change and it's usually when I start using a wipe. I haven't invested in one yet but I'm considering a wipe warmer because I'm sure a warm wipe is much more satisfying on the tush than a cold one!! :) he is worse at night with the crying, probably because he's nice and toasty warm before I undress him. Once the diaper is back on though he seems to calm back down, especially when his sleeper is buttoned/zipped back up!

I was just thinking I should get one. With my DS my husband's point to not have one is, "he will get used to them being warm and what happens when you don't have one" I kind of agreed with him but I am thinking now since every child is different you can try diff. things.

I have a wipe warmer, but LO doesn't cry when I use a non-warmed wipe. But she inevitably screams every time I put a new, clean diaper on her.

My daughter cried at first, but now at a month she rarely cries. She is starting to get used to it!!!

Mine literally screams her heart out at every diaper change. I'm optimistic she'll grow out of it soon.

My newborn screams the house down everytime I change him, the first time I heard it I was scared something was wrong but as soon as he's all buttoned up he's happy again! I guess I'll just see how he goes as he gets a bit older and I just try to keep him as warm as possible when changing him!

Now 8 weeks in I have seen some improvement, must def. be something they outgrow.

I got a wipe warmer for my baby shower, but we rarely use it since we change her diapers everywhere else in the house but the changing station. LOL

Mine was crying due to startling when I laid him on the diaper table.  I started bending down with him and making sure he had a hold of me..(shirt or hand on my tummy) and he fussed less.  Now he only fusses if he goes too long between changes or if someone else changes him.

I've heard warming the wipes in your hand can help. Our lc told us yesterday to use wet paper towels instead of wipes to avoid drying out so warm water might help.

Honestly, I've just always assumed baby would scream when getting changed so I never gave it a second thought! I just try to get it over with as soon as possible and say, "I know, I know, you hate this part" and occasionally I say "you hate me". :)

Mine is almost 3 months and only cries after waking up in the morning or after a nap. I try to avoid it before a feeding but more often then not, he is soaking wet. Even after only 2 hours.
