So I'm wondering how people do bath time with their growing babies. My baby loves to sit in her bath and kick her feet but unfortunately there isn't enough room and her feet hit the sides of the baby bath. She can't sit up unassisted yet so I'm not sure what to do in this transitional period.
I am a first time mom so I am wondering how people bath their babies in different phases - such as now when the baby is a little too big for baby bath vs in a few months when she can sit on her own.
i have this awesome one piece plastic tub that on one side she can lay down and then once she can sit up on her own she can move over that that side and sit up....i like the one piece tub since then i don't have to fill the whole tub with water every night!!
that is a great bath! it looks like the perfect size. Do you put any type of foam under it? I always wondered if that plastic material was too slippery?? Thats why I bought one with a sling because I got worried the plastic could be dangerous. Thanks for all the replies!
my little one is 4 months old and has been using the plastic tub for over a month and she really doesn't slip at all and she is a mover and splasher!!! i just love how it is big enough for her to move up into and i am not wasting a lot of water either!! It is somewhat expensive but i think it is worth the $$ since it is something that is used every night in our house!!!
My four month old has been in our regular tub since he grew out of the kitchen sink at about a month old. I have to fill it up for my two year old anyway. He lies on his back at the shallow end and I fill it up so he's mostly covered but his face is out of the water and my hand never leaves his head. He loves it!
We use a seat that has betting, he's used it since he was a newborn and still loves it. Plus it folds up and is easy to store! He's a little over 5 months now and still has tons of space to grow into it ubtil he's sitting on his own.
My LO sits up in her baby tub pretty well. Once she can fully sit up without any help, we plan on going to a laundry basket (with the holes in the sides) in the big tub with a towel under her to prevent slipping. Doesnt help with saving water, but does keep the toys from going too far away. She loves splashing and playing with toys.
That's a good idea. Baby girl can still use her current tub but when we're ready to transition this sounds like a good plan.
