Pregnant after a Loss

One more (I swear!) Progesterone question for those who have used it

Did anyone take it orally? It seems like most people are on suppositories so I am wondering why the midwife is having me take it orally. My level at 17 DPO was 8.8. I am on 100 mg 2-3x a day. Should I ask for a higher dose? Should I ask for suppositories?

TIA! PGAL is SOOO Stressful!

I just have no idea!! I am taking intramuscular injections now, but in previous pregnancies I did have it orally.

before with a regular pg --My OB offered me a choice of oral or vag. so i just picked tablets.

Currently --in a few weeks (2nd Tri, i think) i will start to transition to vaginal suppositores as per my Dr but this baby is an IVF baby.

My heart is as open as the sky.

I'm on oral. My doc prescribed them as soon as I got my bfp, but my progesterone was actually ok when we tested, just staying on it for now anyway.

I am on oral progesterone!  Mine was a precaution to hopefully prevent my early pregnancy losses.  They didn't even test my levels they prescribed it to me and told me to take it the minute I got a BFP.

I took it orally 1x a day. But my levels were fine. If you want inserts why not ask? It does absorb better and it can't hurt. After all if it gives you peace why not? I say ask for what you want.

With this pregnancy, I took it orally as well-200mg once a day. No one suspected progesterone was an issue in my previous losses. I felt like my RE prescribed it more as a peace of mind, like a may not be necessary, but can't hurt type of deal. He had me stop them at 10 weeks.

I did take suppositories with my previous loss, and that was the standard practice with the RE I was using at the time.

If you have any questions or concerns, I definitely would ask your Dr why oral over suppositories. It could just be what they do. I didn't question it since my levels seemed to be normal.
