I hope everyone is doing well! We have our second iui with injectables tomorrow and Thursday. My doctor does back to back ones. I just had a question about mature follicle size. I always thought mature was considered 18, but the nurse told me that I have 3 follicles over 16. She said they consider 16 to be mature. Is this the norm for injections? I know this is a question for my doctor, but just figured I'd ask here too, just out of curiosity.
@molly84 My RE counts 16 and over mature too (which I didn't know until today at IUI #1) I had 4 follicles yesterday at scan and they were 22, 16, 14, and 11. But today they told me both 22 and 16 were counted as mature. Kind of nice to know we were shooting for more than one target today.

Our office wants at least one over 20 (she said 19.5 is okay) before triggering with Letrozole, which would get them close to mid-20s which is supposed to be ideal with Letrozole.
It is not an exact science, though - just kind of a bell curve so there are sometimes 15s or less than turn into a baby. There's just the best chance of a healthy mature egg in follies in the 20s.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I felt pretty disappointed about not having anything over 20, but I feel a lot better now. My u\s was on Monday so I'm thinking that would have given them time to keep growing. I feel better! : )
