**UPDATE **May2014/June2015

edited October 2014 in May 2014 Moms
Just got my BFP. Now I can't stop crying. DH andThe I tried for a year to conceive DD. This only took one unplanned week. I was diagnosed with choleostasis during pregnancy and delivered at 37 weeks via C section. Therefore I can only be on the mini pill or iud <--- too scared of the pain. So I chose neither since the mini pill doesn't really do much.

Now I'm scared because they tell you to wait 24 months after a C to have a baby. Does anyone have experience with 5 months PP?

I am also scared cause I feel like a bad mom! I feel like I have no clue what to do with DD, how am I going to be good with 2 under 1?!

I'm sorry if this is flame worthy but I am really scared/excited/nervous/scared

Any advise?

(DH told him he felt God told him we should have sex. I told him his penis is not God.)

UPDATE

so later that day we bought two more tests. I took them both and they were negative. Which then had me very confused. I told my husband that it's 5days before my missed period so it is still really early and the tests are more accurate with my first morning urine like I did that morning. So we went and bought the digital tests and I took one this morning and it said not pregnant.

So I believe it was a false positive, which is crazy! And now we are both kind of disappointed. We are going to wait till the 5th before I take another test, unless I start my period. Just to be sure.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts and well wishes.

I don't know why you would think anything about that post would be flame worthy! I have no advice, but wish you the best of luck! I'm sure you aren't a bad mother. Just think, you will learn a lot with DD and by the time the new LO comes it will all still be fresh in your memory. You can do it. ;)

Good luck! I also wanted to say you are not a bad mother! I think most of us FTMs are just faking it and really have no idea. Just think by number 2 you'll be a pro

I love titted it for the "your penis is not God" comment LoL

I would have the same emotions as you if I were to get a BFP right now. You will somehow figure it out though and your babies will be best friends!!

    Congrats!!

    Congratulations!

You will be fine, it just sounds overwhelming. I was a nanny for a family with 3 under 3! It was busy but fun and they had a lot of fun playing together. I know that's not the same as being a mom but it can be done.

Don't put yourself down, you are a great mom! Good luck!

    Congratulations! Exciting news!

I had a myomectomy with 5 incisions to my uterus. My surgeon/fertility specialist told me to start TTC 5 months post op. Got KU on the second cycle and had DD1 via scheduled csection(due to te myomectomy). Ob said she typically recommends 18months between pregnancies but she knew that wasn't feasible for me. So she said to start TTC 9months PP to make sure my uterus was healed from the myomectomy and csection. DD2 was conceived on the first try so I now have 2U2 that are 18months apart.

I was terrified of 2U2 but it worked out great. It's actually easier than I expected. Check out the 2U2 board; it's really slow there.

From my personal experience, your uterus will be fine. You probably won't be a VBAC candidate but you'll do just fine with a csection.

Congratulations!  I wouldn't stress about the CS thing.  I am sure your OB or midwife will keep a close eye on things.  Like others have said, it may mean no VBAC, but I have had three CS now and it got easier every time.

One of my friends has two that are only a year apart.  They are great buddies!

Congratulations! It may be scary right now, but as you see your two babies playing together you will likely look back at this and be grateful it all worked out this way. You'll probably surprise yourself with how well you handle everything! Good luck and hugs!

Congrats! Once the shock wears off, you'll be fine. Anecdote: I have a colleague who had her kids about the same amount of time apart, both c-section, and things went very smoothly for her, and both kids are healthy & happy.

My sons are 14 months apart, so I know exactly how you're feeling.  First of all, don't freak out, you CAN do this.  I was in a very similar situation to you.  We struggled with infertility before DS1 and finally conceived with the help of Clomid.  DS2 was a complete and udder surprise... I hadn't even gotten my first PP period.

Having kids so close together is hard, I won't tell you isn't, but it's also a blast!  You WILL get the hang of it and find your own routine that works for you and your family.  One of the most helpful things that someone told me (in regards to the guilt I felt for DS1) was that I was giving my son the best gift in the world: a sibling.

    Good luck!

Not much advice, but congrats! It will all work out. I have a friend who has a 21 month old, almost 11 month old, and is just over 7 months pregnant. She's going to have 3 under 2. I think she's insane, but her doctor isn't worried at all about her health.

Congrats! I will be real with you...if I got pregnant right now it would take me a while to be happy. It's ok to feel what you are feeling. My kids are 23 mos apart so not quite comparable to you. I had a c section with my first and was able to have a successful vbac with no complications with my pregnancy or delivery. Good luck!
