Now that LO is staying awake longer I am talking and singing to her more. However, I kind of feel bad leaving her just laying there in her rock n play for long stretches, after all she sleeps there at night. Don't get me wrong,I do hold her, take her for walks, try her in her swing(which she lasts about 5 min) but what do you do with LO when you are doing stuff around house and he/she is wide awake? Maybe I am overthinking it but I just wanted to check in to get an idea of what you are doing with LO.
Wear your baby. Keeps your hands free but let's baby be with you for those things you need to get done around the house.
I thought about that but didnt know if an Ergo is too much inside. LO is in newborn insert etc and I was afraid she'd get hot, etc.
I don't use the ergo. We have one, but it feels bulky on me. I prefer to just use a wrap. I've got 4.5-5 yards of fabric and I wrap her up on me with that.

You'll never know unless you try it.

I too feel bad leaving a wide awake LO alone to do his own thing, but sometimes you need a few minutes. I actually think our little guy is happiest when laying in his crib looking at his mobile. He will lay in there forever just cooing away. I think it's fine
