I had a friend in high school who went by Roni (sounds the same as Ronnie) and it was short for Veronica.

What is your style when it comes to first names?  Unique, classic, etc.?

I like the Veronica/Ronnie nickname mix. R based middle names are a tough one to me. I'd like to hear your name style too.

That's a cute name. Have you considered giving her the name Rona worth the nn Ronnie? I went to high school with a Verona which might be another good way to have Ronnie as a nn. I swear I'm trying to think of good first names to go with Ronnie too. It's a tough name to match.

I love Margaret Ronnie. The best I could come up worth is Lana Ronnie. I have a thing for alliteration so I suggest looking at R names too.

I think Ronnie as a first name is super cute. But that's just my opinion. :)

Since you can't use Veronica, I say just name her Ronnie. I think it's wonderful that you're honoring your FIL. Who cares what Google searches say.

I like Ronnie as a first name with a really feminine middle name. I couldn't think of anything that really had a good flow with Ronnie as a middle name but I love Ronnie Isabella. You could spell it in a more feminine way Roni as a PP suggested.

I will dissent, I don't care for Ronnie for a FN at all. Love the sentiment of having it in the MN where she can use it if she chooses.

I love it. As a first name too. I have an Indian colleague at work called Rhoni which I've always liked.

I think first names that end in a hard consonant would work well with Ronnie in the middle spot. So names that end in, say, a T, N, M sound, etc.

    Ideas:
    Malin
    Juliet
    Shalom
    Charlotte
    Violet
    Lisette
    Miriam
    Bridget

This is an American kid, so Ronnie would be a cute name.

Ronnie is slang for moustache back home.  Hehehehe.  Sorry, I'm just being immature, ignore me please.  I don't mean harm.

I work with a girl named Rhonna. I had never heard it before.

Ronnie is cute! I'd probably consider Veronica as well.

I like this idea and call her Ronnie as a nn. She can choose as an adult if she likes.it or wants to be called Veronica.
