We have: - Buy a new car - Attend little cousin's birthday party - Visit SIL 3 hrs away when her baby arrives (Oct 6) - Housewarming party for our friends - Take DS to the zoo - Take DS to Renaissance Festival - Finish the nursery - Install 3 new exterior doors on our house - Make freezer meals
And I'm probably forgetting something! Ah, not enough time!
To do: finish house (which is a long list in and of itself. It includes finishing our master bedroom so we even have somewhere to put this baby and her stuff), put house on the market, look at new houses, set up PnP, set up storage units for her stuff, stage the house, move recliner into living room but stage living room first, rearrange N's room to get some of her toys in there, get baby stuff out of storage and clean (I've already done the first round of clothes). I'm sure there is more. I'm super overwhelmed right now.
-Get furniture set up -Paint baby name letters and night stand/nursing station -Wash baby clothes, blankets and stuff -Pack bag -Organize insurance/other important info -DEEP CLEAN house (DH or pay someone to do it) -BJs trip to stock up on essentials
Oh jeez, so much. Off the top of my head: find child care (I'm on 2 wait lists but neither anticipates Feb availability and have called about 20 in-home centers all with no availability, UGH), finish buying must-haves, put together PnP, choose pediatrician, get car washed/vacuumed, install car seat and get it checked, look into wills, narrow down names, freeze some meals, clean out downstairs closets to make room for baby stuff, decorate nursery. Yeah, a lot.
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14) Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
Seriously though, just off the top of my head: - clean all the things - setup nursery (this includes DH building and painting the shelves he promised) - pack bags for hospital - set up swing and pack n play - make freezer meals - buy a dresser for baby room - try not to nag DH about finishing various projects for baby and around the house - get life insurance - make a will
I'm not optimistic about finishing all the things on this list. Baby better stay until Hus due date!
I just went back to the "Ready" thread to see what I said there and then edited... LOL...
I
need to get the swing, play mat and all of the baby clothes out of
storage. The clothes by the way, are not sorted at all and there are
like 4 garbage bags full!
Maternity shoot - scheduled (need to plan outfits)
Hopefully finalize my temp coverage at work by tomorrow!
I need all the breastfeeding supplies and accessories except for the pump already got that.
We need to clean out our dining room which we have been using as storage!!
Need to pack my hospital bag (don't plan on doing that till late Oct)
The
big one is we still need to find a day care/ nursery school for DD for
when I go back to work in March! We've only visited one so far and need
to visit more and make a decision so they can save her a spot for the
Spring!
Take DD apple picking / pumpkin patch
Belly casting
Car seat clinic is scheduled for Oct 18
Gotta make sure / book flights for my brother and sister to come for the holidays (if I leave it to them it might not get done... and I'm sister/mom so I just do it)
I have a ton of things on the list (e.g., inspect and register car because we just moved, install curtains, order a breast pump), but am also keeping a list of the "must-dos" in case the baby comes early. These are:
-Put sheets in crib -Get diapers and changing supplies -Follow up with our families re: getting TDAP and flu shots -Fill out hospital paperwork -Choose a pediatrician (have two interviews scheduled) -Pack hospital bag -Car seat inspection (have a request in for an appointment)
That's it! As long as those things get done, we'll be ready enough in case of early arrival
Me three, and the list keeps growing... ahh.
I pulled out all my baby stuff last night an ld almost cried, I have a lot less than I thought... then I remembered a ton of stuff is at my MILs too. And still haven't had the shower...
Can I make that 4 lol... All we have set up is the Dresser and the crib w/no mattress. At least we have the car seat and stroller lol. Our mattress came yesterday and we had to send it back. My DH didn't even want to except it. The box was damaged (ripped open on the side and the cardboard was embedded into the mattress). After he laid it flat he realized that it actually effected the coils inside. So it's going back to UPS today and we are on the hunt for a new one now cuz he also didn't like how it was made.
I still didn't have my shower yet either so we're kind of stalled right now. At least we don't have a full nursery to set up since LO is sharing our bedroom since we don't have another room.
~Nov14 Moms November Siggy Challenge: CELEBRATION!! ~
I have a bit to do, but most of it has to wait until after my baby shower, which isn't until 35 weeks.
Before baby shower: Make a will Finish cradle (I bought is used and the the bottom board is all smokey, so we need to cut a new one.) Clean the baby equipment
After baby shower we need to:
Buy or install car seat (depending on if we get it at the shower or not) Buy remaining essentials. Pack diaper bag Buy cradle mattress/sheets and dress it Sometime in there make some freezer meals so we will have food ready for us. The things that stress me out the most are the three trips that we have planned for October. I will be in the middle of my third trimester and we are 1) going to a camp, and staying in a tent ON AN AIR MATTRESS!! @ 34 wks. 2) going to a three day seminar that is four hours away and we will be sitting on our bottoms all stinkin day long @36 wks. 3) going to my parents place. This will be the easiest, most relaxing. Because they will all pamper me @ 38 wks.
Then time to come home relax my big, fat, pregnant self and wait for a baby!!!
Right now I am just focused on getting everything ready for the baby shower. I still have alot to do for that.
I need to make sure my carseat is going to fit in my back seat and/or decide if I am going to trade in my car or not. If not, my car needs new tires put on.
Baby shower isn't til October 18th. After that, everything will need washed/organized/put away/assembled.

- Freezer meals - Get all breast feeding supplies - Finish nursery - Deep clean and organize house - Get car seat installed - Pack hospital bags - Buy/plan Christmas gifts so one less thing I have to do later. - Purchase some warmer baby clothing options - Set up dog care when we are in the hospital
I am sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find it ... When is the best time to install the car seat? Is 35 weeks too early? I know it should be as close to go time as possible because of accidents etc.
I have to say, the nice thing about being at the end of our reno's is the cleaning part. Everything has been painted and cleaned as we go so I really don't feel the need to deep clean. Everything already feels clean and new!
I'm not sure if this thread is making me feel better because other people have a lot to do too or worse because it's reminding me of more things that I have to do....
- Make a will - Have new windows/door installed at our home (this is booked, but hasn't been scheduled) - Get more life insurance for DH- mine is good - Have siding repaired on our home (same as windows) - Clean out cupboards/fridge - Make some meals to freeze - Wash and organize LO's clothes etc. after my shower on Sunday - Install car seat - Pack hospital bag - Get a prediatrician/new family doc (I hate mine) - Buy stroller - Pick up any last minute items we decide we need - Hire someone to deep clean the house - Clean out the office i.e. room of junk
Funnily enough, just before writing this DH texted me and said "after this weekend we need to talk about when you'll finish work and get a bag packed for the hospital". Thanks DH, I never even thought about that! LOL
Our list isn't as extensive as some of yours but I am still feeling major anxiety about getting it all accomplished in the next 7wks especially since I have a nagging feeling she isn't going to wait until her due date or after. (No medical symptons to base that off just mommy intuition telling me she is coming at 37wks so 4wks from now instead of 40wks, I sure hope I am wrong though!)
Our list: -Clean out DS closet and dresser so we can use half the closet for babies clothes and half the dresser for her clothe diapers/supplies
-clean out/reorganize DS toys so we have room to store the babish toys that were in storage and the bouncer in the toy closet.
-clean out/reorganize upstairs bathroom linen closet so there is room to store babies bath supplies and baby bathtub.
-assembly swing
-pullout breast pump so I can order new tubing parts for it.
-go thru and organize the 3 large grocery bags full of breastfeeding supplies my mom has been hoarding for me over the past 7 months (she is a lactation specialist so she gets lots of trials and free goodies)
-wash and orgainze four storage containers of hand me down clothes we uave recieved. Restore everything but newborn thru 6 months and figure out where we need to fill in gaps with new stuff.
-wash carseat cover, rnp cover, bouncer cover since they have all been in storage unit.

Clean everything, wash everything Baby shower and thank you notes Buy all remaining supplies needed Organize all the stuff. Make sure everyone has gotten their shots Spend some quality time with DH Start writing in the baby book Go sit in a park alone in the sun with a coffee and get my head in a good place
I think I'm going to draft a will in the next few weeks. Need to call the insurance company. Find a pediatrician. Find daycare. Get a better paying job. Clean my apartment. Eliminate all the things that are taking up space/donate stuff we don't need. Make room for my mama to stay with us for two of what I'm sure will be the longest weeks of my life. Prepare my hospital bag when it arrives in the mail. Buy some cute jammies to wear in the hospital. Get some more maternity clothes since nothing fits anymore. Wash all the baby clothes and organize them. Buy a breast pump. Take a breastfeeding class. Last but not least, BREATHE, because this list is stressing me out.
I noticed only one person mentioned shopping/preparing for Christmas - am I the only other one stressing about this? I really want to have all my shopping done before LO arrives so I don't have to brave the hordes with a newborn and toddler in tow...!

I hope to have most of my Christmas shopping done before baby arrives. I do most of my shopping online though, so I'm not too worried about it.
@mussalynn Christmas is definitely a stress in the back of my mind but I have so much going on with our house right now that I just don't have room to stress about that too, lol!

One word: Amazon
LOL! While it certainly may come down to this, I am somewhat old-fashioned in that I actually really like to go shopping. I love to go in a store, browse around, pick something, see it/touch it/feel it in person etc. Having said that, as the thread name states... time is running out! And it's much harder to shop with a 19-month old tagging along, so Amazon it very well may be.

We have:
- Buy a new car
- Attend little cousin's birthday party
- Visit SIL 3 hrs away when her baby arrives (Oct 6)
- Housewarming party for our friends
- Take DS to the zoo
- Take DS to Renaissance Festival
- Finish the nursery
- Install 3 new exterior doors on our house
- Make freezer meals
And I'm probably forgetting something! Ah, not enough time!
Which Renaissance Festival? DH and I have season passes to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. This is probably our last year for that indulgence for a while anyway.
On my to do list
Two baby showers - one 4 hours away this weekend, on on October 4th
Clean/launder/etc & Organize all the lootz from said baby showers ;-)
Install Car Seat and get it checked out
Pack hospital bag!
Meet with a pediatrician (on the schedule for next week)
Officially sign up for daycare
Daydream about holding my baby!
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
I am with the Everything crowd. The room to be the nursery is still completely set up as a guest room. We have a big girl bed for DD but I need to take it to have it sandblasted and powder coated. We still have to get a dresser for DD. All the nursery furniture will go to the nursery/guest room eventually, I hope. I haven't pulled anything except the box of newborn and 0-3 months clothes down from the attic. I still need to sort and wash those. Plus pull out everything else (carseat, bassinet, swing, bouncy seat, etc...), disassemble everything, wash, and reassemble. I have made a few freezer meals, but only like 4. I have not packed a hospital bag or even thought about what to pack. Not to mention I will also have to pack DD a bag to take to my mom's for my hospital stay. I am now stressed. I think I'll go back to bed
