Whether you'll get or not get stretch marks is 100% genetic and no stretch mark cream or oil can prevent it. Just use something that relieves the itching and smells good. I use bio oil or coconut butter for itching.
I don't agree with not being able to prevent them. You absolsutely can. I've been using vitamin E oil and it's done wonders to my skin overall. Vitamin E oil helps with the blood circulation and flow,which is exactly what your skin needs to prevent it from scaring from stretch marks. You need moisture which is also what vitamin E oil does. If you wanted extra moisture and itch relief I'd use both organic cold-pressed coconut oil and vitamin E oil.
I used the mederma stretch mark cream after W was born and after 1 tube it lightened them up so much! They were small and not that dark to begin with, but it absolutely helped. A little expensive but worth it for me!
Ha okay...? ) Enlighten me, when did I debunk science? I don't agree, it's my opinion and is a proven fact that they can be prevented. Get your panties out of those knots ladies and move the hell on.
No shit!!! But if you excercise, drink plenty of water and use a moisturing and blood circulating cream/oil/lotion they indeed CAN BE PREVENTED, dear. Do your damn research and use a legitimate source, not yahoo answers or here of all places. )

I slathered every lotion you can think of, drank gallons of water & got massages to help with circulation. I still got my tiger stripes. You, my dear, are full of poo. 8-}
Why does @DV3 keep using this icon ) at times that do not call for it? I imagine some crazy, twitchy, lady that laughs like a hyena at her computer screen. (Almost like the crazy cat lady in The Simpsons). Sorry about the rambling I just needed to put that out there.
My first pregnancy I slathered on anything I could find. Coconut oil, almond oil, maderma, regular lotion etc. What do I have to show for it? Plenty of stretch marks!
Unfortunately what works for one person might not work for another. Personally I have tried Palmers Cocoa Butter and it didnt work for me. I'm going to try Bio Oil next, then if that doesn't work I'll give in and buy Mederma. I've heard good things about all these brands, so they must have worked for some women. I've also heard women say creams/lotions didn't work at all; but you never know if you don't try. My best advise is to use a bottle of one kind then move on to a different one if it doesn't work. Good luck!

First step, prevention = condoms/BC
Second step, don't get pregnant
Third step, don't have a stomach
