If you wanna play: What were you doing/thinking of this time last year?

I was trying to get comfortable with the idea of it being just me and dh, paying off bills and working on working my way up the ladder.

I was gearing up for another IVF cycle and wondering if I should keep going or throw in the towel. Obviously I'm glad I didn't give up, but these last 3 years have been the hardest of my life. I'm glad I'm finally experiencing some brighter days after all the gloom.

I was taking BCP for IVF #1. I was sooooo optimistic and didn't realize that the worst was yet to come. This is one chapter of my life I'm very exciting to (hopefully) be ending!

My one frosty was sitting on ice waiting for us to transfer. I was in horrible limbo after retrieval not getting my period but knowing I wasn't pregnant. If only I'd known that none of our cycles would would work we could have saved thousands!!! Could've, would've, should've!! Knowing what I know now I would have just gotten our puppy sooner.

This time last year I was about 10 weeks pregnant, 2 weeks away from finding out about our MMC. I was so happy at the time but it was the start of the saddest period of my life. Thankfully I have lots of positive things happening now to look forward to as that anniversary approaches.

I actually had my lap 1 year ago today. I'll never forget seeing my RE beforehand and telling her about my friend who was about to give birth. She put her hand on my leg and said we will get you there. I tear up just thinking about it.

I had finished testing and as we were unable to start any treatment cycles due to DH's crazy work schedule, we opted to try a vitamin regimen for 6 months. We were still painfully optimistic that we had just had bad luck and the vitamins would work for sure. I was still convinced I would be pregnant by Christmas, and when I wasn't, it started me down a very, very dark path for a few months. December and January were pretty much an emotional black hole for me, and then that rolled into the crazy manic hope and despair of treatment cycles starting in late January.

Man, that sucked.

A year ago today, I still had my hopes pinned on IUI. I remember my third and final IUI right before heading to a football game. By some miracle, it was the only time I didn't puke after IUI, which I took as a sign. Unfortunately, like all my other IUI's, that one was ended by the arrival of AF, who never let a little thing like progesterone suppositories keep her away.
A year, 2 ivf cycles and one MC later, and I'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins. Some days, it even feels real, but most days, I worry that it will all end too soon.

What an amazing question to consider as I lay here watching my 1-wk old daughter sleep! OMG. One year ago I was still reeling from our IVF fail, and all the cycle fails that had come before, and DH and I were taking a break. We had 2 embies on ice, but were putting off the conversation about whether/when to use them. DH was understandably feeling worn out emotionally and had started to move on mentally into living CF. I was a just a wreck -- esp about potentially walking away from those embies -- and convinced I needed to get into the CF space mentally as well. I started seeing a counselor soon after.

This time last year I was just coming off orientation as a peds nurse (worked adult before) and was getting use to working my new job with little babies while getting use to being in school again (had just started grad school).  Hubby and I were still trying to conceive on our own and I was starting to think about talking to my family doctor about not being pregnant yet.  It was approaching a year and a half of trying to conceive on our own.

I was doing another IUI, but starting on injects.  I was never super hopeful on my IUIs - I felt like I was counting down until we did IVF.

I was on my 3rd medicated + TI cycle. Starting a new job because I was going crazy on unemployment waiting to get pregnant.

I was with my first RE, trying to build my lining (taking lots of estrodial), right after a cancelled FET in August (due to thin lining).  My next FET in December would also be cancelled due thin lining and he told me that I would probably need a surrogate.  Here I am 30 weeks pregnant!!

One year ago today, we were back with the RE trying for #2 and starting FET #1.  I was so hopeful that it would be "easy" this time around since IVF #1 worked the first time around.

I had just found out that I had lost our twins and would likely be pregnant for the last time.

This time last year we had just been matched with an expectant birthmom who was due in the beginning of October.  Talk about a stressful few weeks as we scrambled to get everything in order in our house for the baby on short notice and also decide if this match was right for us.  The thought of ever getting pregnant was out of my mind since we had switched all our efforts & funds to adopting.  I'm still amazed at how much has changed in the last year!

We were waiting around for my DH to finish with Gonal-F injections, so we could do IVF in December. I had a polyp that I then had to have removed. And I started school...again...this time to get my teaching degree. I was a ball of nerves and doubt.

Last year we were in the middle of our last natural cycle basically just waiting for it to be long enough to induce a period so we could start our first round of clomid. I had been on metformin for six months and had to wait to wean my daughter to try fertility meds.

This time last year I found out I was having a chemical pregnancy from IVF #5.

I had been diagnosed last summer with IF after finding a new OB that did extensive testing. I was in the middle of my first Clomid cycle and had just found out DHs teen niece was pg (she announced on FB without telling family). She wasn't in a serious relationship and got pg on purpose bc all her friends were. It was quite a roller coaster of emotions.

This time last year, I had just recently found out my HCG level was finally 0 after our first miscarriage. I was only 5 weeks when I lost the baby and my levels did nooooot want to go down. But around this time I was finally at 0 and getting my protocal for my FET that went terribly wrong, complete with allergic reactions and BFN. Glad this year is better

I had just found out that my "IF buddy" was told she had to do IVF. My doctor had put me on a birth control regimen to calm down my system and then told us to try naturally for 3 months and if that didn't work we'd move straight to IVF. I have unexplained IF, so he thought if the BC plan didn't work it was best to move to the heavy stuff. We had insurance/doctor mixups so we got a later start on meds than planned, but I can't believe I'm where I am now.

A year ago for me I also was pregnant, very early and was on top of the world.. And then October hit and it all came tumbling down. My angel boy has bee front in center of my mind since September started. But I know he is busy at work looking after and protecting his little sister growing strong and I am very thankful to be where I am today.

This time last year, I just turned 30 and was in the process of interviewing for a new job, and getting ready for our first IVF cycle in Nov.

One year later today, after egg retrieval (no immediate transfer d/t risk of OHSS) and two FETs, I'm 27w pregnant with my little girl. I got the job that I interviewed for and oh my is this the dream job that I could have ever asked for.

I always go back and think if I would still be stuck at my old boring job if I got pregnant last year cuz I probably wouldn't be looking, and missed this amazing opportunity. And guess what, if I had gotten pregnant any earlier I wouldn't even qualify for FMLA (I just made it by one month cuz u have to work for the company for 12 months, and I started in Nov 13). I'm not a very religious person but somehow I believe that God has his plans for all of us. For me, it was to get me settle in my new job before becoming mommy.

It's amazing to see how far I've come. I'm so thankful for today and very excited for the near future.

I was consulting with a new RE after back to back negative beta cycles. I was loosing steam and hope. Thank GOD I got a new RE and a new outlook! Crazy to look back to that time...

This time last year I was getting ready for surgery. I thought it would fix everything lickty split. Luckily, here we are but it was a long 11 months later and I do not credit it with helping much.

This year, my EDD is about a week before my ER.

So grateful for the other amazing women who are also on this journey.

You know what is kind of interesting to think about... about a year ago or so it looks like a few of us had conveived the little ones we are carrying now!  I find that fact very interesting and a little odd.

This time last year we were benched with cysts. I was getting to the point of giving up completely because I just didn't want to do treatment anymore. After being benched again in October I was in a really dark place. I was depressed. I called in sick more than I should have, which luckily did not effect my job, and avoided any and all contact with family/friends besides my parents and the hubs until about January. Then we were benched again and the depression came back. I didn't want to even bother continuing treatment after we were cleared in April. I'm so glad hubs convinced me otherwise since that was our BFP cycle!

We were saving up money for a FET (that would fail in November), about to sign papers and start meds in October. I had just met all my daughter's classmates' moms who were all knocked up their third child. I was seriously wtfing
