I just say "I'm 5 months.... I'm 6 months" ect.
I was at my Dr. Today the chart there said 2nd Tri ends at 24 weeks. 3rd tri starts week 25.
Shrugs/
Is that true? I thought it starts at 27/28 weeks.
Whaaaaaaaat? I can't believe it'd be 24 weeks. I'm seriously about to hyperventilate over here. I just realized Friday I hit viability. I can't possibly be hitting 3rd tri, too.
You are technically pregnant for 266 days, if you go full term. The 280 days is full term, plus the 2 weeks prior to ovulation-when you were not even pregnant. If you go by the 40 weeks (280 days) the math would be 13.3 weeks, and you'd be in 3rd trimester about the 27th week.
If you go by 266 days, you'd be starting 3rd tri around the 25th week.
Doctors vary on this, so they go between 25 and 28 weeks.
Eta:Found this online. Which would explain the chart on the wall at my Dr. Office.
Eta, again: technically your in your 3rd tri at 25 weeks, and 28 weeks. ... No wrong answer, just depends on how your Dr. Calculates it, or how you want to calculate it.
Re: Months pregnant - how to calculate
