How to curb the screaming?

My 20 m/o DS has been screaming nonstop lately. We firmly ask him to stop or distract him, but at bedtime, he's keeping our 3y/o awake and waking up our 5 m/o. Nap time is horrible too. I know he still needs a nap, but he screamed for an hour today before finally giving in to sleep. Any suggestions?
