Postpartum Depression

weather/darkness

Anyone else feel more depressed on overcast or rainy days? If the sun is not out in the am I automatically feel bleak. Also, the nights are starting to get darker earlier and pretty soon it will be dark by 5pm. That bothers me,esp because I like to fit in a family walk. I feel like I lean towards seasonal depression. Ugggh so annoying.

Re: weather/darkness

  • Amazon sells lights that are made specifically for this. They work really well for dh. You turn it on in the morning when you get up to gain an extra half hour or so of "sun".

    CSC arrived 5/7/12

    CHC arrived 6/2/14

  • I have the same probably. When the PPD was really bad and we were at my MIL's house (she likes to sit in the dark sometimes with the tv on) I would whisper to my husband that I need light. He would open the doors and/ or turn the lights on.
