The last 2 days I've been able to leave early so today is going to feel LONG. Besides the fact that we have monsoon type weather today. Holy rain batman.
On a bright note I'm on vacation next week and DS's party is Saturday! FX for no rain then!
I had really bad gas yesterday, probably from eating too much spinach dip. Guess what I'm eating now?
DD came home from grandma's after her usual overnight. She was HILARIOUS and sweet. And this morning she was calling out my name. It made me really happy because she's a daddy's girl. :x
Maya is getting better each day at school. Yesterday and today she acted a little upset, but no crying. She has stopped saying she doesn't want to go and seems to be settling in there.
We made pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookies last night and they are delicious.
Dd has learned how to clean up her toys after she plays with them (most of the time) and we didn't even teach her that. I guess just from seeing me clean up.
The tickle thing reminded me that somehow DS thinks if he puts his bare belly on you it tickles (pretty sure this is a DH thing.) So how he'll run around saying "I tickle _____" and he comes running up to you with his belly hanging out and rubs it on you. He thinks it's the most hilarious thing ever. I can't help but crack up too. Let's just hope he doesn't do that to someone in public someday!

Tell me if I overreacted this morning, please. I took the boys to the playground in our neighborhood around 9. It has a little play structure and a bigger one. We started playing on the small one then Anthony started running over to the big one. An adult man sat up from on top of the slide like we woke him up, looked at us and laid back down. Dude was built and looked out of it. I decided to take the boys on the walking path instead because I got a bad vibe from this guy. He made a Kiss noise towards us as we walked away. I called the non emergency line because we have had trash strewn all over and other people left the park because they were also uncomfortable.
The police came out and ended up driving off with him. He wasn't in cuffs, so I'm guessing they were just taking him home. Something else important to know is we have a huge drug issue in our city and dealers hang out at some of the bigger parks that back up to the green belts.
I don't think you overreacted. Adults, especially men, should not be loitering at a playground when they are not with children.

Anytime DS does something to DD that she doesn't like, she has started saying "Not nice, eli, not nice."
She got these new TMNT pajamas with a cape, and she loves to put them on, announce "I'm turtle" and then race around the upstairs so the cape flies.
This just made me think of Aedan's new word. He now says, "teenage ninja turtles" in his adorable little 2 yo voice. I think it's funny the things that little man knows about after having a big brother than Brody knew at his age.
Aedan also sticks up to big brother more now. "No Bo-dy!"
I'm interviewing a bunch of sitters/nannies from care.com next week.
H works ridiculous hours and I'm overwhelmed. Our cleaning lady sucks, but I feel bad firing her. Thankfully I don't think she will be willing to drive to the new house, so that should work itself out without confrontation.
My plan is to have a sitter come Saturday mornings so that I can clean, grocery shop, and get some meal prep done for the week.

That's been my week. I'm loving James new winter wardrobe so much I broke down and ordered a couple new things for Leo even though I swore not to buy him anything until black Friday. Oh well, kid needs skinny jeans and I don't have any in 2T.
It's my birthday next week, DH is taking the day off because I said I want a day of someone else cleaning and dealing with the kids. I'm looking forward to it. I've finally found the sneakers I want, thanks for your recommendations guys! I settled on some nike rosche runners, and my ILs are buying them for me! Yay.

Following Hannah's 3rd ear infection in 7 weeks, we've been upgraded to "urgent" as far as getting into the ENT specialist. Our original appointment was offered for November 10th...seriously.
Gearing up for our family vacation, finally! I was trying to brainstorm a list of things to pack, and when I asked Sophia what she would take to the beach, she said "cupcakes, undies, Julia, and a big girl sippy."

I just hope they fit. I always said I would never buy shoes online but I couldn't pass it up.
