Capital Health Hopewell, NJ or St.Mary's Hospital Newtown, PA

My fertility doctor has recommended an ob-gyn (Dr. Snyder of Women's Specialists) who delivers at St. Mary's in Newtown but I am more interested in Capital Health of Hopewell. I've heard Capital Health is really baby friendly and really encourages and helps with breastfeeding and mother child bonding. Can anybody tell me about St.Mary's? I like that my fertility doctor made a recommendation, I don't like that the doctor doesn't deliver at Capital Health. Thanks.

  • When I was pregnant with my son I switched from an ob practice at St. Mary's to a midwifery practice at Pennsylvania hospital because i felt like they were not natural birth friendly. I have also been told Capital health has the baby friendly designation which if, breastfeeding is important to you, would be a reason to go there, IMO. Research what the baby friendly designation is all about and see if that is more important to you than where you deliver, which is really only one part of the whole hospital experience. good luck!
