3 Day Potty Training Method (also posted in Toddlers 24+)

We just completed the "3 day potty training method" over the weekend.  We're having 1 or 2 accidents per day but overall he's doing really well.  I've read that Fellom recommends going naked from the waist-down while at home for the next 3 months!  That seems excessive to me and I'm wondering how necessary it really is?  Has anyone successfully used this PT method and either put undies on sooner than 3 months?  Or at least pants on but let them be 'commando' underneath? Any feedback would be much appreciated since I don't want to undo all the progress I've made, but I also don't really want him to run around naked for the next 3 months either...TIA ladies!
