S/O "when to buy Halloween costume"...

Where does one procure a toddler sized costume? Carters only seems to have pajamas (maybe it's too early)?

Has anyone had any luck finding toddler costumes at a consignment or thrift store?

I think our once upon a child usually has some costumes. Target and old navy usually have some reasonably priced things too.

Wad this warm? We live in an area where it could potentially snow on Halloween and I've been trying to figure out what to do for DD2. We didn't start going out on Halloween until DD1 was 4 but we want to try and go out as a family this year.

Anyway short story long... I'm trying to find something warm enough to take LO out for a little bit.

Hmm that might be a good option. This thread had also reminded me to go through DD1s Dress up trunk and pull out all of the stuff that is too small now.
