inconclusive harmony test

So I had the harmony test done about a month ago and it came back inconclusive. I Had It Repeated A Few Weeks Ago and again they called me yesterday and said it was inconclusive. . I'm so upset because I don't understand why two times? I have the option of CVS or amnio but not sure what to do? There's no history of downs syndrome in our family but I am 37 years old and I'm a paranoid person. I have not enjoyed my pregnancy at all like my first one. I didn't feel this worried or sick or upset the first time. All I've done is worry this time around.. has anyone else had inconclusive test results?

I have not heard of inconclusive results before, but I think if I were in your position, I would go for cvs or amnio to try to get some peace of mind. If you're a person who wants to know these things, it seems like you'll feel better knowing than spending your whole pregnancy worrying. I can only imagine how frustrating this result must be. Hang in there.

I've never heard of inconclusive either...do they think a 3rd time may be different? I feel like the idea of the non-invasive testing is so much easier on the mind than CVS or amnio, but you need to do what's best for you and going to help you relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck!

I am sorry you're going through this. How far along are you? Is it too late to try or ask for a NT scan first to measure the neck and see if anything comes up before moving onto the CVS or amnio? If it were me I'd want to do any testing I could to possibly get answers. Keep us updated and best of luck ♡

I would opt for the amnio. It's not that bad. Goes by quickly. Just for your own peace of mind.

That's frustrating. I'm sorry you are dealing with this.
If I was you. I would want answers too!
My BIL has downs but my insurance company would not cover the harmony test. Idk why.

I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with this. I agree with pp about getting the NT test if you haven't already and if you're still in the right time frame (I think it's 11-13 weeks, but your ob would have that info). If you already had it, what were their findings for the NT? If mine came back that way, I would try an amnio. Good luck with whatever you choose!

What about trying a third time, but with a different lab? You could try Materniti21.

Heather, I too am going through this. I went in two weeks ago, but for the verifi test. My last pregnancy I was 27 I lost my son due to T21. I didn't find out anything was wrong till the anatomy scan. :/. So this time around. I'm now 32. I'm being watch very closely. I also have no history of any disorders in my family.
Monday they called me with what they said were inconclusive results for T18. Another blow to me. I opted to do the CVS. I'm devestated. I went in yesterday to learn my result actually said " aneuploidy suspected". Which I guess just means it's a possibility. It's too close to call positive or negative....
Anyways. My ultrasound have looked great to this point. Even the doctor yesterday said it looked really good. T18 is very severe... So most can start seeing issues in ultrasound I guess really early.
I want you to know I feel your pain. I'm a wreck. I have to wait two weeks for cvs results. Not to mentions there is a loss associated with cvs. So I'm laying low and crossing my fingers. Big hugs to you! I'll be thinking and praying for good results.

I am 13 1/2 weeks. Doing the harmony test again is not an option. They have referred me to a genetic counselor to talk about other options such as CVS or amnio, or just plain wait. I just don't understand how it could be inconclusive twice. The worrying is killing me but I also don't want to put myself or my baby at risk with invasive tests. I have an appt next Friday with my obgyn but that's not going to help being that I would need a CVS done by wed. That doesn't look too promising either. I guess I just wanted to know now and am really disappointed I couldnt. My last pregnancy this wasn't even a thought. I just feel like this time I'm more scared of the what ifs.. thanks everyone for your kind words and support.
