crib skirt/ruffle

I forget what you call it, a bed ruffle, or crib skirt but either way do you find yours really pulled the whole nursery look together. I put one on my sons crib but debating for my soon to be DD. I feel like i could clean under the crib much faster without worrying about material thats getting dusty touching the floor. I know it will look good if I put it on but am wondering if being practical wins this time. Thoughts?

I've used them in the past and bought one but haven't put it on. The nursery is done but I just didn't open it and now I'm thinking I may return it. It's from pottery barn kids so it cost a bit and the room looks great without it.

This is exactly what I am debating. Mine was from Target so not too pricey but more the principal of just another thing that gets dusty and has to be washed and cleaned around.

Mine doesn't touch the floor and honestly the way my crib is made, I couldn't get a vacuum under there if I tried. Since I already have to move the crib if I want a good vacuum (which won't be happening often) and taking the skirt off isn't a big deal to me to wash it once in a while, I'll keep it. Mine came with a bedding set though.
