Group practice at Hopkins rather than one OBGYN?

I'm so confused and conflicted. I have an HMO through the military where I can only use Hopkins doctors. Went today for my 8 week visit at White Marsh and they explained it's a group practice and you see all the docs during your pregnancy and whoever is in rotation at the hospital (Bayview) at delivery is the one that delivers he baby. I always assumed you found one OB and then they delivered your baby. I'm not sure how to feel about this or I am just ignorant because I'm a newbie at this... I could switch insurances but I would have to pay co-pays which right now I never have any out of pocket costs. Opinions/ Advice please!
