Hello everyone! I have been lurking here for a while now, and have finally decided to post and ask all of your opinions on our name list. We are due in March and don't know what we're having yet, but I would like to hear some unbiased opinions on the names on our list!

Girls

Violet

Lily

Zoe

Harper

Helena

Emily

Aubrey

Rylie (I know this will get some negative feedback, but DH refuses to let it go)

We have various middle names that we would use for each of these girl names, so to keep it simple I'm just listing the first names.

Boys

Dax Michael (husband's middle name is Michael and it's his grandpa's name)

Hunter Dean

Wyatt Craig (husband's father's name is Craig)

Thoughts?

I love Audrey, but my stepmom is Audra, and I feel that those are too close. We're pretty set on the three boys names that we are deciding between, otherwise I would suggest throwing Riley into the mix.

Thanks for your thoughts! The female list is so much longer because DH and I can't agree which to get rid of. I don't hate Harper, but every one of our friends and family love it and so DH won't let it go. Violet is by far my favorite, followed by Helena (for my grandmother, Helen)

ETA because I suck at grammar sometimes.

Wyatt Craig (husband's father's name is Craig) - Not necessarily my style, but I like Wyatt the best out of your options.

My vote goes to Helena and Wyatt. Ditch Harper, Aubrey, Rylie and Dax.

Rylie was my dogs name growing up so whenever I see that name I think of a golden retriever.

 

I think Helena is the best girls and Wyatt is the best boys

Wyatt Dean is also another boy name that is close to the top three. I absolutely love Dean, and another choice that I love is Dean Michael. The only female name that we can really both agree on is Emily, which I absolutely have loved since forever, but I feel all of the "Em-" names are so overly popular now.

OMG Right? I don't mind him telling everyone our options, but I hate that he then thinks we have to take their "votes" into consideration when we're alone and trying to narrow things down! We've pretty much left the list alone for a few weeks because we're not getting anywhere on the girl side of things, and figured we will just wait until we know for sure what the nugget is. But I love the honest feedback that is given on this board, and figured no harm will come from asking the Baby Name Board about our names.

Thank you! I like Dane and James, but we have a nephew named Gabriel. And I love names that are Hebrew/Biblical names, but DH vetoed Every.Single.One. We definitely don't have similar taste in names, which has made this whole thing so difficult and stressful (for me at least) I definitely have given up plenty of names I love, and had to let him keep some names I don't hate but don't love. Grr. He's very difficult. But I still love him.

Wyatt Craig - My favorite of the three boy names.

Thank you! Dean Michael is another option that I personally love, and could possibly convince DH to throw back into the mix. Violet and Helena are my two absolute favorites for the girl options.

Also, I looked at your name list on nameberry because I was curious, and I love love love the name Imogen! So pretty! All of the first name combos that you have with it are perfect!

It's OK, but NMS. And DH doesn't really like biblical names. I'm also not a fan of the last letter of FN and first letter of MN being the same.

Yes, I have seen several people that associate Riley with dogs. That's my problem with Lily right now because I've always loved it, but our really close friends who we see frequently have a dog named Lily, and that bothers me.

Dean Michael is another option that I like. Archer is a no, only because my husband watches that show on FX and all I would ever associate it with is that character.
