Guys this is my 100th discussion, so I wanted to make it a good one. AW anything you want. You cute little ones, you fur babies, your sexy (yet still annoying) husbands. new car? new pedicure? What is making you happy?
I'm proud that my DH and I have made some serious achievements in our financial health the past year and a half. We really focused and have cut down our debt tremendously and are in a good position to purchase a home. I'm proud of us!
I'm super proud of my daughter Thalia! She's smart and funny and friendly! I won't AW all of her "achievements" but let's just say...I think she's advanced for her age of 17 mos!
She can always make me smile!
Monday was the 1st day of school. DS has Asperger's and this year all of his support staff changed; new ESE teacher, new aide, new regular teacher. He's about as good with change as Sheldon Cooper. Needless to say, he had a really rough first day of school, including having a meltdown (which is rare for him at school). I was feeling really down about it until I saw the note he wrote me.
Translation - Dear Mom
I had a good time. I miss you. But I got unhappy. But I calmed down.
Love Jacob
Enough to melt any mom's heart!

I finally finished writing my dissertation proposal (100 pages and 200 sources!!) and will defend before my committee September 4.
Good luck to you!!
Mine's related--I'm still so proud that I finished my PhD, even if it was back in 2008. It took 5.5 long years, but I did it, and no one can take it away from me!
I'm also proud of my DD. They've started working on potty training with her at daycare, and her teacher told me today that she was a rock star yesterday. I hope she keeps it up (and now I need to focus on getting her to do it at home).
Ok, mine is going to be very braggy but I am super super proud of this accomplishment. I wanted kids very badly but was extremely overweight, so before trying to get pregnant DH and I decided we needed to change our life. I lost 180 lbs and my husband lost 80 before we started trying to conceive. My main concern is keeping a healthy lifestyle during and after pregnancy and today we went on a bike ride. I am so proud of myself. 3 years ago, I would not have been able to ride a bike when I WASN'T pregnant! Today I rode 6 miles 26 weeks pregnant!
DD made me have a super proud mommy moment tonight, when asking for her juice with dinner she said "may I have that please" she will be 4 next month but sometimes please and thank yous are still tough!
I've started looking for a new doctor after realizing that i really need to stop bitching and just look. I'll be calling people tomorrow and i've stopped limiting the list. Before, i could only handle women, but i've decided that having a male doctor might just help with my recovery.
I'm also really proud that, despite having a really bad and anxious ranty day, i worked out and tried to think of some positives.
So proud to be among such wonderful ladies. You guys are so awesome and i am so grateful for your kindness, generosity, wit/snark, and bluntness. I'm a ball of cheese right now and i know i've blubbered at you in the general thread, but after a month of being here, this forum means tons to me. These posts really help me focus on the positives in my life
@clumsyatheart - we heart you too. I really like the idea of looking into a new doctor. I think the important thing is that the doc makes you feel safe. If you find a male doctor that makes you feel comfortable that's great, just as long as you can feel at ease.
You ladies are all so awesome. There are a bunch of things here I wish I could lovetit a billion times.
For me? My boyyyyys. They make me so happy.
James (age 5.5) had his first day of Kindergarten today... granted we're homeschooling, so it isn't that much different than any other day leading up to this point, but it still makes my mommy heart swell.
Charlie (age 3), and I apologize for the TMI but I'm too damn excited, has willingly pooped in the potty /twice in a row/ after a months long effort to get him to stop ninja stealth pooping in his pants.
They are the sweetest, snuggliest, most awesome boys in the world, and so different from each other you'd be astounded they're from the same family. But they love each other best of all. I am so lucky and I am so proud of them.
Not that long ago I paid off our last credit card yay! I'm also so, so proud of my daughter. I also believe she is advanced and just so smart! She amazes me every single day with the things she knows and can do.
I haven't posted anything for so long I'm probably considered a "newb" again but oh well...
DH, DS and I went out for dinner for our anniversary last night, and on my way back to the table from the bathroom I walked by the kitchen and a waitress was telling everyone "oh my god you guys, there is the cutest little boy out there!"... I get back to the table and DS' food had arrived so I asked DH if a waitress in a red shirt brought it out - yep, she was talking about DS!
I don't know why it makes me so proud, but I always feel like when people tell me he's cute, they're being nice, but the fact that she went back to the kitchen and was telling everyone about how cute he is still has me beaming today!
Walked into daycare and they had just sat down for breakfast (we were a little late). The teacher asked if he wanted breakfast and he actually said please and thank you without being prompted!
We worked on it a lot the last week or two so I am glad to see it's paying off!
Ok you guys.. Also gonna aww my DH. With having been on bed rest now for 10 weeks and pelvic rest since 9dpo... this man has been a SAINT! Not one complaint out it him and the minute I try to do chore type things around the house (just so I can feel semi-productive) he reminds me that those those things are HIS job and my job is to take it easy and keep our little boy safe inside until it's time for him to be born. So on top of working 10 hour days he does the cleaning and laundry, errands and cooking.. Not sure how I got so lucky but so thankful for him!

& it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes
Eta.. Sorry for the huge pix.
@aragosta YAY!!! so glad to hear you got some good news! Keep it coming!!
@MrsG1019 Damn......not even looking at your DH. ha ha ha! Preeety sure you are a model.
As for me, I am just proud of where I am in my life and how far I have come. Growing up poor as dirt and getting into ALOT of trouble.....I now have a steady job, a mortgage, a super awesome hubby, and now a baby on the way. If someone would have told me 10 years ago that my life would end up this way, I would have punched them in their eye and told them to shut up.

I think my AW would have to be my little family... Come November this will be the first full year my husband and I will have actually lived together, and we've been married 7 years. We've spent so much time apart and somehow we've made it. It was hell at different points. There were a couple years of our marriage I wish to never re-live. Ever. This past year has been amazing! We spent 15 months living apart previously and now... It's just great!! I'll have him for two more years before the crazy starts up again. I'm just soaking in every moment I can!
Not as serious as everyone else, but I felt extremely proud just now because my baby gave me a swift kick to the bladder and I didn't pee my pants! Huzzah!
